My baby boy has just started to dislike socks! anyone else experience this when their baby was 4 months old?
it's actually cute, because he'll take his sock off ... and then hold that foot up in the air, like, "look mom! I took my sock off!" .. it's cute, but it's gonna start getting a little colder and I want his little feet covered .. anyone else experience this with their baby?
he does the same thing with his shoes! we were at the check-out at the grocery store the other day and he was just hanging out in the stroller .. holding his shoe :)
My husband even bought him socks with rattles! so he can play with the rattles while he's playing with his feet (he loves playing with his feet! :)
.. but he even takes those off! he just wants his feet bare!

any suggestions on keeping his socks on?
(oh! and I do buy the ones with elastic around the ankles, I never put him in socks that easily fall off.)

Everytime my kids get a stomach virus they vomit only at night for about 4 or five nights in a row or they may skip nights, but usually it goes on for about a week. During the day they are happy...running around and eating. I try to limit their diet as much as I can, but they are starving! There is no diarrhea involved. Has anyone ever heard of this?

Even though I keep telling her its wrong, she insists that the baby loves it and asks for more. Along with that, she told me the baby now wants Mcdonalds french fries. What can I do to keep her from doing this?

alright i'm facing a small dilemma. my husband and i are each from different states. I'm from virginia and he's from lousiana and there is pretty much no way to get the families together at the same time no matter how much notice is given in advance. he's also in the military so we cant just take time off here and there to make it extremely convenient so i was wondering if babies can be christened twice? i was going to do it here in virginia since my family here will be together for thanksgiving anyways then when we went to lousiana for christmas all of his family would be there as well. is there a rule that says you cant do that? just curious...thanks in advance

My baby is very chubby and I notice that while bathing he gets this cheese like stuff with a very sour smell behind his knees, under his armpits, any where there are rolls and cracks. I bathe him very well, and he gets a bath every other day. I've even been putting powder in these places so it stays dry, any suggestions?

Okay..my husband's mom has given us stuff for the baby. Keyword: 'Given'. Stuff like a swing, diaper genie..etc.
What I do not understand is why she wants us to give the stuff back if we're not using it? Or once we start using it.

My baby is two months old now, I just changed her diaper and realizd, we don't even use the diaper genie. We either throw it in the trash or plastic bag.

Then I also have a swing she gave to us that doesn't work and is taking up space in our small hallway closet. So the thing is we don't have/make very much money. We're poor, especially right now. Some of the stuff we have attempted to sell on craigslist, bc we don't use it.

Once she finds this out, she wants the item back! Is this right for her to do this when my baby might need diapers instead of an unused diaper genie or swing? I know that some of these things she wants to give to her niece for her baby. But once you give someone something it becomes theirs, right?

My son is 7 months old now and he seems to have a new little routine. At whatever point during the day he will have pooed and needs to be changed. When I go up to change him he pees once the diaper is off. At first I thought it was a coincidence, but then he does this all the time - and laughs!!! It is like he is holding it in waiting to do this. I tried not to smile, but it is so funny. I have stopped smiling now, but he continues with this little routine - any suggestions. Thanks so much

I've tried humidifier and Vicks. Will I harm anything if I blow in her mouth to release the mucous through her nose?

I keep hearing a baby cannot overeat..blah blah blah.

Mine did, now she eats cereal and at least does not throw everything up.

But she eats 8-9 ounces of formula AND cereal (her pedi put her on it) AND she still wants food!

The little baby bowls...I put enough cereal to just fill the bottom and she will eat ALL of that (like a pro, no spitting it back out, she got the spoon thing down great!) AND 8-9 ounces of formula and will STILL be hungry!

She is 5 weeks, 10 lbs (was 6 14 when she was born at 39 weeks gestation).

I am also afraid that when I start lactating again (practicing re lactating currently and waiting for the milk to come in) that my milk just will not be enough for her because it is thinner and she already eats sooooo much!

What should I do? Most of my friends babies who are 6 months old or more eat less than her...she is so tiny, where does it all go?

And if a baby wont overeat..then what the heck is my baby doing? lol

This is my 11th day postpartum but my bleeding is still bright red. From what I've read it's supposed to have turned to pink 7-10th days postpartum, and then to colorless afterwards, any bright red blood after the 10th day following delivery should be reported immediately to the health care provider and be treated promptly. Is this true? Any ladies here have survived the bright red blood after the 10th day postpartum? How long did your postpartum bright red blood last? Should I go to the emergency room today? Thanks!

if you buy the original version and not the new stuff with this dha and ara in it. My kids were fed the original as they did not have it 10 years ago, I now have a 4 week old and it is so hard to find the original versions in the store anymore. To me, it is just a way for these companies to make money. Does anybody else agree?

I have a 13 month baby boy and I am concerned. He can say mama, and dada, but thats it. He isnt saying any other words, he can drink from a sippee cup but hasnt grasped having to tip it up to get the juice out, and does not like to eat solid foods. I give him the spoon often to see if he will try to feed himself, but he just chews on the spoon and nothing else. I know I should not be comparing, but I have a friend who has a baby girl of the same age and she is already doing all these things. Should I be worried?

For the past 24 hours my 11.5 month old son has had rctal bleeding. Its not a ton but it is noticeable. He has had some problems with dairy, I am assuming he is lactos intollerant. But he hasn't had much dairy. My husband did give him a bit of egg for the first time yesterday morning, before the bleeding started. I have looked up food allergies and he seems to have alot of the symptoms. Eczema, dark circles under his eyes, mucousy stools, now rectal bleeding, he is very irritable and not playing or laughing. It seems to hurt him when I change him and hold him. He dons't have diaper rash. And he has started to brea out with some weird skin colored bumps one his arms and legs. He isan't vomiting, but he isan't eating like normal either. And he cried when I tried to feed him his favorite food.

Do I need to see an allergentist? What should I do?
