It could be the baby's schedule/environment more than the baby. Read the book "Baby Wise" by Gary Ezzo & Robert Buckman and trust it. My sister used it and I saw the results first hand (I was her nanny from 5 months to 1 year).

Don't worry your little one is fine. May be a touch of colic, or gas there is an over the counter medicine that will help its called mycilyn drops (gas drops, my Dr. told me this helps with cases of mild colic) they are safe for newborns. Try giving your little one a bath in the evening with the lavender soothing soap for baby. Johnson's ans Johnson's make it and so does parents choice they both work just as good as the other although I can't use the J&J on my son because the smell is too strong for me and gives me a headache. Fallow with the lotion and see if that helps.
http://bricks.coupons.com/Start.asp?tqnm=skqqfha27841742&bt=wi&o=9723&c=JB&p=YG9zesJH this will give you a coupon for the soap & lotion.
My son (8 months now) went through a few fussy stages. It will get better. Good luck and find ways to calm yourself as well because if you are not calm she will feed off of your feelings.

It usually calms down at about 12 weeks. Both of my kids were fussy in the evening. I think thats normal. At about 5 weeks they are starting to wake up and I think they get overtired in the evening and cant settle themselves. Hang in there it gets better!

Its normal for there to be a fussy period in the evening... it gets a little bit better as they get older and can nap better. But it never stops, not even with toddlers and older kids. They get exhausted all day and by evening theyre run down and grumpy.
Help her take a short afternoon nap, it can help a lot.

Your baby probably has the colic. Most babies with this only fuss in the evening. Get a hot water bottle and fill it with warm water and wrap a towel around it and lay the baby on it with its stomach on the bottle. The warmth will ease its stomach. You can also call your doctor and they can give you medicine for the baby. Good luck. This can last for weeks. It will disappear before you know it.

It could be colic. Just try to comfort them as best as you can. It should not last much longer, hang in there.
