my boyfriend says that it is unsafe for a baby to be in the car or even sitting in the lobby of an oil change place. he says the fumes are harmful to a baby. our son is 6 months old. tell me what you all think. thanx.

I think your boyfriend is a little overprotective and over-reacting. changing oil does not create fumes. My daughter has been in the garage while her father changed the oil in our truck, and she is fine. Tell him to relax.

I do it every 3 months with my son and he is fine. Just take him out of the car and take him in the lobby. My son is 8 months old and is healthy. So I see no problem with it. Just make sure and you aren't in the garage area that long with the lil one out of the car.

i was born in a 6 stall garage,they wiped my umbilicus with deisel, cleared my sinuses with either, kick started me and i came out tne startind block screaming like a wild hog. I haven't slowed down in 58 years.. no , it doesn't hurt a bit.

it is fine for you to take a baby anywhere you go. my kids went everywhere with me and they are now healty adults,i am not sure why people thnk is that babys should be put in a bubble so to speak if a child is going to get sick they are going to do it no matter what you do
