I have some Gerber Organics baby food that a friend gave to me at my babyshower party. My baby is two months old now. Can she eat this? Please be honest.

I'm just curious, on average when breastmilk comes in fully? My son is 3 days old, my breasts are HUGE and so very sore, but I could hardly get any milk out of them with a pump? Also... how much should he be eating each day...in ounces?
One more question, is it normal for my left armpit to be sooo incredibly tender? Last night it started hurting so bad I was crying.
Sorry for the hundred questions, I'm a new concerned momma:)

Thanks ladies!

She has been to the ER,her PCP,and another pediatrician and they all tell me the same thing.I have used the humidifier, the aspirator, nasal drops, vicks vapor rub,the hot shower, and even some amoxicillin. She is breathing horribly and finds it hard to eat and sleep.Sometimes I can withdraw some mucous, but others even if she sounds congested, nothing comes out.She is miserable and I am miserable for her.Help

Is it too young to move my baby (9 weeks) from her bassinet to crib? She wakes every 3-6 hours depending to eat at night. The big downfall is our bedroom is downstairs and hers is upstairs. It is going to KILL me to have her that far away even with the monitors. She is simply a big girl and is not comfortable anymore in the bassinet but takes wonderful naps in her crib (I think she is happier there) Running up and down the stairs a few times a night might be interesting for me to feed her but we'll see. Also, there are times at night after she is fed and burped she will cry when I put her back down and will only chill when I put her in bed with us. This is a habit I DONT want to start to continue in the future. When she cries in the middle of the night once she moves to her crib and her needs are met...how long do I go before picking her up? I simply can't stand there and rub her head all night to calm her (which is what I have to do now if I don't put her in our bed)

Does your baby have a pretty regular schedule as far as eating and sleeping? Is there anything that you let disrupt your baby's schedule? Older kids? Daycare? Weekends? etc. Do you change your life to accomodate your baby's schedule? How important do you think it is for a baby to stay on schedule?

My baby is pretty regular in the morning, but my older daughter is in Kindergarten and goes in the afternoon. MOST of the time we are good on schedule until she gets home from school, but I do like to run errands while she is in school so sometimes my baby doesn't get his nap in the afternoon until quite late. Yesterday he didn't get a good nape in the afternoon, went to bed early, and missed his bedtime feeding. Of course, this morning he was up early!

So, what do you think? Is it important to have a baby on a schedule?

I have made enough breastmilk up unil here lately. My 3 week old son nurses but is still hungrey afterwards. So I have to give him formula. Now he's getting so used to eating out of a bottle that he's trying to not nurse. I pump but don't get enough milk for one feeding even. What can I do to increase my milk supply?

My baby is one month old (!!!) and she latches on perfectly to the left side but has difficulty latching on and staying on the right side. I've tried all different positions to help her out on the right side, but even when she DOES get a good latch on the right side she doesn't stay on near as long as the left. My mom said that if I let her eat more on the left side, my left breast will be bigger than my right one when I quit nursing.
I pretty much have no choice but to let her eat more on the left side because she comes off the right side (she'll eat for like 10 minutes max on the right side, and then 30 more on the left side after that!)
Advice? And do you think what my mom said is true??

I just want to buy him some cute "crib shoes", but I can't figure out what size he would wear. Is it a size 1 or 2? How does this work with how old your child is? I tried to find it online, but can't find anything.

I heard from someone recently that a study was done with lavender baby body washes and it was determined that it causes femininity in male baby's. I personally find this to be ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. I would like to see some legit study's that prove or show, one way or the other so i can bring this information to the people in question. Or be completely stunned if it is true. Thank you.

Because its easier for them to be born, and easier for the mother?
They are apparantly made up of cartilage, and bones begin to develop soon after birth ?
What do you think?

hi, my daughter is nearly 8 months. her bottom left front tooth is halfway through and this was followed by her top left tooth which normally comes through after the bottom right and top 2 middle teeth are through. her top left middle tooth is now coming through and i can see the bottom right middle tooth under the gum. when she smiles, she has 3 teeth on the left and none on the right. i'm wondering if this strange order is very common as i can't find anything on it and i'm concerned as my daughter has radial aplasia which basically means that her radius bone didn't grow in her arms so she has no wrists or thumbs and her left side is more developed than the right which is the side she has all the teeth! thanks

Doesn't "research" like this tick you off?

I breastfeed and am highly annoyed at this. It reminds me of the headline two years ago that said that a low fat diet had no impact on health for an 8 year study on heart disease in older women

It seems that what they are suggesting here is fake is better than natural.
If you read all of the "findings" everything contributes to obesity...Formula feeding, giving juice, introducing solids too early, bottle feeding cereal, snacks, video games, cupcakes...breathing! Everything contributes, sheesh
What wasn't indicated is if the moms themself were overweight too or other factors. Not to mention that the results were inconclusive.

Do you think it is irresponsible to release results like these before the results of the study are fully complete or understood

I just got home from delivering my son today, and his skin is very dry and patchy. The hospital didn't say to use anything, is it best to leave it be for a while, or should I be using something on his skin?
Also, they showed me briefly how to clean his ambilical cord but they didnt do a very thourough job explaining so I'm just curious what if anything I use with the qtip?
AND also, I'm breastfeeding, and the nurses showed me how to breastfeed, and I've been doing it the same way so I know he's latching on right and all that, but why are my nipples so sore? they feel like he's going to suck them right off! How do I fix the pain? And will it go away with time? Sorry for the questions...it's my first night home with the lil guy, and he's my first so I'm all worried! :)

I don't look down on people who formula feed. It's your kid you should feed him what works best for you. It bother me that other moms think they are better because they breastfeed. I mean sure you're providing better nutrition but some actually take it too far by calling formula feeding mothers bad mothers. Your thoughts?

Why is beer, milk, and practically every beverage out there cheaper than formula ?

Shouldn't it be cheaper than everything else since nourishing a baby is more important than anything else ?
