Ok, these type of situations is why Americans have lowered the standard of being a person. Someone kid does something..... moves.... giggles..... makes a funny face, and the parents are like, there's something wrong!! Rush in to the doctor and convince the doctor to put them on medicine, but for what? Being human. That's why now in american, EVERYONE has something. The majority of it being depression and ADD, people need to come the realization that HUMANS GET SAD, it happens, it's normal!! Also, KIDS PLAY, it doesn't mean they have something wrong in their head and need ritalin. They just need to get outside and run it off more. There's no need to consult a doctor unless your kid is screaming in pain, bleeding to death or is not doing anything at all. That's what our Great Grand Parents did and the world was fine then. Now all of a sudden 30 years later there is something wrong with everyone. Sad.

Sounds like he's just having fun. I wouldn't worry about it too much. If he continues to do this throughout the entire day, I might try to distract him!! Kids do funny things like this. My 14 month old has been in a "spinning" phase. She stands up, spins in a circle until she falls down, laughs, stands back up, and spins again. She gets to the point where she can hardly even stand up after she falls. But she enjoys it, and really isn't doing any harm. I just keep an eye on her when she does "silly" stuff like this. I'm sure your son is fine! :)

He could like the acoustics that his ears pick up when he does that. My friends daughter did this while in the bathroom which really worried her. I told her to do the same thing and see how it sounds.
Kids are very in tune with things. He just discovered that he can control his body in his environment. I'm sure he's fine. But it's normal to worry. It's so amazing to watch them discover their world isn't it? Best of luck!

mine all did that...my youngest is now 9 months old and his new thing is clapping he claps constantly....in the car, in his high chair, pretty much anwhere he can see his hands....if hes awake those hands are going. about a month ago he would put his hand in front of his face and move it in and out.......i think he had just discovered that it looked smaller when it was further away..babies do the strangest things to learn about their surroundings. my guess on the head thing is he just discovered peripheral vision.....things look different on one side than the other after all so its fun for him to look back and forth.....also sometimes they like to rub the back of their heads on things (like i said babies can be strange little creatures but they sure are fun to watch lol)

I think that nothing is wrong with him. My son used to do it either to try and rock himself to sleep or to comfort himself. Once in a while he just thought it was a funny thing to do. I wouldn't be too worried. If it gets to bad or he starts doing it more often then talk to his pediatrician and find out what his opinion is.

regrettably, I have considered that is foster childrens who 'go by ability of the gadget'. I had one lovable boy ...... after the third abode placement the lil guy is worse now than ever, now and again i extremely trust CPS can harm a newborn as undesirable as their dad and mom did. He of route is reacting to the hot placement. imagine bounced from abode to abode. The lil ones only in the destiny start up lashing out and performing very surprising. you extremely favor to communicate for your manager, and he needs help. do not label him with RAD. i imagine that is extra of an interest situation. And the guy who he will flow after ......... is the only he feels maximum strong with.

He realizes that when he does this everything looks different. It's sort of like a toddler spinning in a circle until they're dizzy. If he stops to look at you and he's smiling, he's okay. It's fun for him.

It sounds to me like he is just playing, he probably likes the movement. I don't think you have anything to worry about, sometimes kids do strange things.
