i just started feeding my son some semi solids he is 12weeks old what i give him is a spoon of porrige with his 8onz bottle of gold sma milk he gets 8onz bottle every 4hrs then around 5ish i have started to introduce baby food only a small portion would u say this is too much or its okay?
he sleeps from 9pm -10pm till 6-8am

I think it should be ok. You are suppose to start the baby with cereal at 3 months to get them used to the swallowing solid motions.

By UK standards he is way too young for solids....they can't process them till' they are 6 months....you can cause allergies or damage to the stomach lining if you give it too soon.
Many of the older generation think it is fine...but they did not know what doctors know today...and since their kids probably grew up ok, they'll tell you it's fine...but we know better now. All he needs is milk till he's at the very least 5 months...and only then if he is big and/or straving hungry.

I started my son on cereal at 3 months or so. He was eating baby food veggies at 4 months and fruit at 5 months or so. He was eating real food like pasta and stuff by a year. People do things differently. So if you feel its fine and your son is fine then dont let anyone (except your doctor) tell you its wrong.

Considering you shouldn't introduce solids until the baby is 6 month old (4 months if you really really can't wait), I would think that is too much.

doctors will tell you that its too soon to start but mine were on about the same at that age.every baby is different

it sounds ok to me , i did the same thing with my 2 kids.
