My 8 month old is a cat napper. We have tried to extend his naps and so far, no success. He needs to nap longer than 45 min as he wakes up CRANKY! I am just wondering if and when your baby extended his cat-naps to regular 1.5-2 hr naps and what you did to achieve success. Thanks for your answers!

Do they ever have a normal shot at life? If their lungs are not developed, will they ever grow to be functional human beings?

My husband and I have just built a five bedroom house on the coast of Connecticut. We are looking to decorate and furnish a nursery for our baby girl that we are expecting in early April. We were looking/sampling colors, and we thought that a nice apricot tone would be a good choice for our daughter. Now we have to decide what furnishings to put in to her nursery! If you have any suggestions, links or ideas they would all be greatly appreciated!

(We are still wondering.. Dark mahogany or light wood?)

10 days ago, I had an emergancy c-section and delivered my little man at 34.4 weeks. He had one foot that is clubbed. He is still in the hospital by hopefully can come home early next week and his doctor at the hospital is going to set him up an appointment to see the pediatric orthopedist about his foot.

Does anyone have any experince with this. I have looked up lots of info on the web. I am just wondering how long the treatment takes? They said his will more than likely have the cast done?

Please anyone help, I am really freaking out, I just hope that he will be normal and I know lots of famaus athletes have had it and are fine, I an just really worried about my little man!

I need to gain some muscle back- and get rid of these last 6 or so pounds. My son is 10 months and only nurses 2-3 times a day tops, so theres no reason I cant kick it back into high gear now. Iam sick of these boobs, and this layer of wonderful belly jelly...

I used to jog, but I cant right now, my boobies dont fit in a sports bra yet... lol.

What worked for you?

I have purchased a second hand Boori Cot with teething and scratch marks on it and would like to fix it up.

Firstly I'm not fond of the colour but is it too much hassle to change it? Should I just fix the problem areas?
Secondly what sort of stain ( or is it a varnish ) do I use? How do I choose one that is non-toxic / kid safe?

And lastly I'd be greatful for a quick rundown on what to do.
Like do I hand or machine sand or use a stripping agent. What type of sand paper and what sort of brush for painting.

As you can see I have no idea and would appreciate the help of someone who has done it before.

Thanks in advance.

This may be a ridiculous question, but how do you use baby powder on a newborn?

My mother tells me I should be using it, but to me, I would think it would dry out their skin?

At the moment, I use baby wipes during every nappy change and use a nappy cream after the bath on the groin/bottom and a baby moisturiser on the rest of the body, isn't this enough?

Why would I need to use it and how would it be used?

My baby boy is going to be coming home in a week or so. He is most likely going to be coming home on a heart monitor. I haven't had a chance to speak to the doctor yet. Can anyone with a smililar experience give me some advice on when they need to be on them. I have heard all day 24/7 from some. And others say only when they go down to sleep at night. Thank you for the advice!

I know making the food is the healthiest option and that's what I plan to do, but someone just recently gave me extra baby food she had (cause the baby didn't eat it and ate table food instead) and I don't want it to go to waste. The ingredients all say "the veggie or fruit + water needed in making the preperation". Is this just as good and nutrious as making the food fresh?

My daughter will be 3 months on december 6th. She had her shots the other day, and at that doctors appointment i was asked how much shes eating. She eats 4 to 6 ounces of milk every 3 hours, sometimes longer sometimes shorter. My doctor looked at me like i was nuts, asked if she spits up alot and i said no, because she really doesnt. What is the normal for a 3 month old 14 pound baby to be eating? How often?.. She sleeps 9pm-12 when she gets up to eat.. Then 12:30-8 or 9 in the morning. Shes a EXCELLENT sleeper, and eater as well.

Also, my doctor told me i can start baby cereal at 4 months, becuase of how shes progressing. When did you start yours???

I asked a question a couple hours ago about if 5 week olds miss their mommy...Well my husband wants to drop off our little girl at his mothers sunday night and i dont feel comfortable with it yet. I told him that and he told his mother the same thing. Well she just called me, and she must have thought i was going to say yes to her, but i said no, i wasn't comfortable with the baby being gone overnight this soon. Well she kept persisting and telling me "oh stop it, she'll be fine". I kept saying no, and she kept going on. I finally said yes.....but i do not want her to go. I know this might cause an arguement between my husband and i, because i already said yes. Ahhh shes so persisted she doesnt take no for an answer. What should i say to her? she obviously doesnt take me seriously.

My baby is 7 months old with asthma or something like it (too young to tell, but I want to know if I should buy a cool mist humidifier to help him breath at night, cause he always wakes up coughing weather I do the nebulizer before bed or not. We use the nebulizer cause he always coughing, and there is a rattle in his chest, and he is always congested too. Will this help him? Also, what store can I get a small, cute, and inexpensive one for him? AND one more thing, If you have an experience with asthmatic children, can you give me ideas, clues, or any type of advice for me to help him or understand what is going on with him and stuff, cause I am not sure about it since I never experienced this with anyone or myself?
