I am a guy at age 20 and wondered what is it like to give birth to a baby? Is it like crapping out a watermelon thats the best way i can put it ladies. I'd appreciate your answer.

I didn't think it was that bad. I had an epidural though. I thought the hardest part was holding my breath for 10 seconds while I was pushing. My baby was 8 lbs 11 oz too- not exactly a small baby! In between pushing breaks I was talking to the doc and nurses about me wanting to have twins the next time around! But I guess I just have a high tolerance for pain- so apparently it's much worse for everyone else!!

When your in labor it is a very intense feeling. You feel this big ball of tightness come on and it is very intense and very sharp and strong. It is hard to concentrate and it is very uncomfortable in any position. I was in labor for 27 hours before I had a c-section and I got the epidural in the last hour right before they did the surgery so I felt it for many long hours. I did feel a lot of pressure in my bottom as well and it does at times feel like you have to go to the bathroom really bad. Next time you have to go to the bathroom really bad and you have to hold it for whatever reason, it is that feeling times 1,000. Interesting question and because you asked just make sure that when you have a baby with your wife or whomever that you are very supportive to her needs and wants. Know that you must make changes not only when the baby comes but the moment you find out she is pregnant. Her life changes forever in that moment and so should yours. I wish you a happy life with beautiful babies! ...... Oh and by the way- all that pain we go through, I would do a million times over if it meant I would have my boys again and again.

Everybody is different. Some women have no pain, others have a horrible pain. It runs the scale.
But in my experience with 2 births it's like the Bible put it. It says that when a woman is in labor she is in great pain, but once the child is born she forgets her pain because a new man has just been born into the world. :) It's soooo worth it.

OK, I had 3 kids, all natural, no drugs. And every one was different. With my first, It felt like I kept putting my back out but by the end I was so tired I kept falling asleep between contractions, my second, it was like the worst diahrrea cramps I'd ever had in my life (I kept banging my head on the shower wall for something else to feel) and the third was kinda like the first one with the back, but more intense. The unifying factor came when pushing the kid out. There is this phase called "the ring of fire" where your feel like your crotch is on fire and you're going to tear in half, well not quite, but it's not exactly pleasant. With my first, that was when my mom asked me if I was gonna ever have another kid and I recall saying H#%$ NO!, but 5 seconds after I had him in my arms she asked me again and I sleepily said, yeah probably. All in all, it;s memorable, but I don't begrudge anyone who says, "I want every drug you've got!"

It's much worse than that. The 9 months before is also a wonderful and difficult experience. I just wish my husband could have morning sickness one day (like I did all day long) and feel 3 contractions. After that, I know he would kiss my feet and worship the ground I walk in - like he should anyways.

the baby doesnt come out ur bum so no its not.its painful.the contractions hurt more( the pain u get b4 the baby comes).once u av the baby most pains go away,hope this helps you.its quite difficult to explain really.

It's not that bad. In a way, it kind of does feel like you just gotta go to the bathroom, but it doesn't hurt all that bad. It's tough to get them through there, though. I won't say it's easy.
