My husband and I have just built a five bedroom house on the coast of Connecticut. We are looking to decorate and furnish a nursery for our baby girl that we are expecting in early April. We were looking/sampling colors, and we thought that a nice apricot tone would be a good choice for our daughter. Now we have to decide what furnishings to put in to her nursery! If you have any suggestions, links or ideas they would all be greatly appreciated!

(We are still wondering.. Dark mahogany or light wood?)

A personalized sign for the nursery is nice. They have beautiful ones here: http://www.mysweetandsour.com/ The sign can be customized to match whatever colors and motif you end up with. The artist is a mom, too.

I love the apricot--my favorite color. Mahog would do, and would stand up to several children, but I love light wood, which may not take the beating as well, but is light reflecting, and that's important to me.

A 5BR house in CT!!! Beautiful!!

A lot of sites on the internet have wallpaper. That's how I bought my kitchen wallpaper. You can compare and not run around, and they'll show all the borders, decorations, etc. I'd choose something that a boy could enjoy, too, if you decide to further enlarge your family (5BR?).

Take care. Congratulations!

We bought our domicile mutually as i became into pregnant. between the bedrooms became into already painted in pink, with a border around the middle stenciled in butterflies, so we left it that thank you to apply as a nursery. regrettably, the folk who owned the domicile rather loved pink, using fact even the ceiling is pink, and that i'm form of having ill of it. So do no longer circulate overboard in case you do it
