I also have thought about holding a pillow over him head till he stops breathing. I don't know what wrong with me Im so scared I might really do it I've never thought about stuff like this with my other so. I'm scared to get help because I think they will take my boys away from me. please help me someone please! I dont want my kids taken away but I dont want to go thru with these morbid thoughts .

If so, why? Did the Dr suggest it? Etc. My daughter has been on soy almost from birth. I am switching insurance and Pediatrician and this is one of the questions I am going to ask the new pediatrician. She started taking it because she kept throwing up regular formula.

My 5 month old baby girl constantly has a fungal infection on her neck, chest, and chin. She has occasionally had them on her bottom, but they do go away there. I have taken her to the pediatrician twice, and she was prescribed a cream the first time and then nystatin powder the second time. The rash may go away for a day or two, but then it comes back. I was reading that people with diabetes get a lot of yeast infections due to the sugar. Could this be my baby's problem?

We are due to have our second child in early November 2007 and I still have a travel system (carriage and car seat combo) by Graco that we purchased with our first child. That was in August 2003. Is there a way to find out if this seat is still considered to be safe by current year standards? I have searched all over the labels to see if there is an "expiration date" on the car seat and found no date other than when it was manufactured. I no longer have the manual that came with the system. I have also throughly examined the seat and base and there is no visable wear on any of the bars, belts or pieces. Please help.

I have a 9 month old, and we have air conditioning on most nights. I feel like it might be chilly for him, but I'm worried about putting a blanket over him at night - when is it safe to start doing so?

I've heard that tightly rolling up towels and placing them under the crib mattress (i.e. two side by side where the baby lays between) is a good way to position an infant without SIDS risk. Has this worked for anyone?

My 3 1/2 month old is having surgery on a hernia. He can't eat after midnight the night before his surgery. We need to have him at the hospital between 6 and 7:00 am. He can usually go 5 hours without eating again, but not 6 hours. Does anybody have any suggestions on what I can do to get him through the night without eating. Should I ask my doctor for some kind of medicine that will help him sleep through the night? The reason I'm so concerned is that we are staying in a hotel. If we were at my house I wouldn't be that concerned.

I live in Chicago and have been looking for a home-based daycare for my baby for when I return to work. He will be 3 months old at that time. So far, I have visited 3 places. One place was only $175 a week but it was dirty and rundown. The other two were nice and clean but charged $250-$300 per week.

Is it really going to cost me $1000-$1200 per month to go back to work? It seems like so much! I will pay it of course, because I want him to be with someone I trust, but still...that is more than I pay in rent for my two-bedroom apartment!

I'm 3 mths pregnant I was wondering when it was too early to start shopping for the baby. I've heard people saying I could start now, but I dont want the clothes or the bedding or anything like that getting to dusty. When did you first start shopping for your baby(ies)?

Just wondering if anyone out there has any enfamil or similac coupons that they dont need. My husband and I do not qualify for wic and my son is in need of a hypoallergenic formula. It is gonna kill us financially. I would appreciate it. I did sign up on both websites but they only sent 1 coupon each.

I feed him expressed breastmilk, 4 ounces/every 3-4 hrs.He gets around 17ounces from the bottle. He feeds twice at night directly and as such dunno how much he gets. I have tried giving him more , but he just won;t drink anymore. I tried reducing the duration b/w feeds and increasing the qty. But somehow he evens it out to 17oz. He is gaining weight /height and is actually in the 95% percentile in both as per his 4 month chekup. Most sites i see mention 25-34ounces/milk for his age. I am concerned if his not drinking enough milk will cause any other issues.

He also gets 1 tablespoon of cereal (mixed with 0.5oz of breastmilk) twice a day since the last 3 weeks.

My son was a 27 weeker born last October. He had Synagis shots starting in January thru March (which was this year's RSV season.) He has had no ongoing lung issues, so I'm wondering if he will need it starting with this year's season as well. What was your preemie's experience?
I'm concerned because I am about to lose my insurance, which paid for the vaccine last year. If the doctor prescribes the Synagis, and you don't have insurance, do you just go without?

My daughter is 11 1/2 months old and her doctor told me that if I ran out of formula within 3 wks of her turning 1 to go ahead and give her milk well the past three days I have gave her milk and at night she would wake up and just scream, so yesterday I got some formula from a friend and gave my daughter only formula and she slept just fine. (She was on milk-based formula and did ok but when we switched her to lactose free formula she did much better but she never had a lot of issues) So should I giver her lacto free milk or try with milk again or should I just stick formula until her 12 month appt. (Please no ask your doctor answers I plan on bringing it up with her doctor on her next appt.) Thanks in advanced.
