I think my baby (11 week old boy) might have reflux. He fuses when he nurses and afterwards sometimes doesn't like being laid flat, and then fusses a lot and arches his back and his legs get straight and stiff? And when he cries sometimes it's like a coughing cry, like the beggining of a cough and then a cry over and over? Any help would be appreciated 1st baby!

My husband and I need to travel out of state with our 7 week old baby. She's breastfed, healthy, and generally not too fussy. Is there any reason this would not be safe? Is she old enough to handle this kind of travel? Also, we will be visiting grandparents at high altitude (8500 ft.), so does anyone know if there are problems taking a young child from sea level to the mountains?

Since I have began breastfeeding my right breast is much smaller than my left and latley my baby has been refusing to eat on that side( he will for about 2 or 3 minutes and then he crys until I switch him to the other side). Has this been a problem for anyone else and what did you do to "even things out"?

When a baby is born in the hospitals what do the nurses and doctor do to the baby? I know they cut the cord and weigh and measure. I've heard of vitamin K shots and testing the blood. What else do they do?

My two month old has the stomach flu that has been going around. She vomitted once, has diarrhea and a low grade fever. Her dr. had me put her on pedialyte along with her formula, and also give her tylenol for the fever, which is bringing it down. She isn't dehydrated, since she's taking the pedialyte very well and I'm watching this closely to make sure she has plenty of fluids.
How long does this usually last? She seems to be feeling okay, but sleepy. Her Christening is this weekend and I don't want the poor thing to feel lousy on her own special day, or be handled by lots of people if she is sick already.

While making a delicious pot roast at Joyce's house, she left and my water broke and my baby came out and is still hanging by its embellical cord. I dont have a car or phone or neighbors so should I run to the hospital or finish making my roast?

I am 37 weeks preg. and i want to brestfeed this may sound like a stupid question but what if i start breastfeeding and then decide to stop do i just stop lactating or what i know this is probably common sense but this is my first preg. and none of the women in my family breast feed any of there children i only ask because i will also be working so using a formula after a couple of months may be the best way to go

We struggled for 6 years to have this child and finally through several miracles we have now been blessed with an amazing and wonderful son. I had no childhood worth mentioning, but my greatest fear is that I will not be the father that I always needed when I was growing up. I never thought that a big tough Marine could be reduced to an emotional invertebrate by something as small as he is. I think I have found the solution to World Peace. It is not bombs or guns, but children....

i had my baby on the 9th of this month. i had to go in early because i had hypertension. i was in labor for 2 hrs kinda weird but it was bad. i had to take magnesium sulfate im not sure what its call somethin like that. i couldnt breastfeed rightaway because of the meds i was on. Now that im lactating i cant get my baby to breastfeed. my breasts hurt soooo bad and i they gave me a manual pump which sucks.. but do you think he will eventually take breast milk, because thats what i really want him to take it.. he took it one morning and it was so cute, but my breast wasnt fully engorged like they are now, what is the best solution to go with at this time?will the hardness or tenderness go away? what should i do?
