Nothing is safe for a baby that little. My son was about that age when he had RSV. For his fever the doc let me give a specialized dose of infant tylenol. But, it was lower than the lowest dosage on the box.
If her sister has been diagnosed with bronchitis it's very possible she has a more serious illness than just a cold. My neice had RSV/broncholitis. That's the infant form of bronchitis. It's were the small airways actually swell up. Her friend's son was also exposed at the same Christmas party and he was more serious - had to be put on a breathing machine. My sister took her daughter to the ER and ended up putting her on steriods to help fight the infection.
There is nothing they can do to stop the infection. So, it's best just to watch her really close. If she starts coughing she should be seen by a doctor.
Otherwise, make sure she constantly has a dehumidifer running. You can even put VICKS in those. Just make sure you clean it every 3-5 days or mold WILL grow in there. And, get sprayed around the room only making her sicker. I clean mine with vinegar (not bleach as the fumes will mix with the water and get sprayed around the room and inhaled by my son).
Congrats on the new baby Grandma! :))

My son had a cough and congestion when he was 2 months also. I suggest doing exactly what I did which was.... Take your grandaughter to the doctor and make sure that it isn't anything serious and if the DR says it's okay give her the minimum dosage of Tylenol Cough and Cold for Infants, suction out her nose with a bulb syringe as needed, use a cool mist humidifier and when you take a shower put her in her bouncer, car seat (anything that she will be safe in) and put her in the bathroom with you. I did all of this stuff for about a week and his congestion and cough FINALLY went away..... Longest week of my life! LOL It was worth it!

Although you have a diagnosis for a 2 y.o., you should still seek a doctors help for a 2 month old. There are illnesses that are not a big deal (such as RSV) for the older child but may need special attention in an infant. Also, you should never give medicine to an infant that young without a doctor.
See below link about RSV...

You really need to contact the pediatrician since the sister has had bronchitis, however, a humidifier will likely do them both alot of good! At 2 months old the doctor might want the little one on precautionary medications since she is so susceptible to serious illness right now.

You should first take your baby to the doctor. She is very young and should be evaluated. You can try turning on a humidifier in her room when she is sleeping. Also, you can put saline drops in her nose and suction it out to keep her nose clear. As for medicine I would take her to the doctor.

WARNING: DO NOT use adult vaporub NOR any camphor containing product on a child under 2.
As for what you can give, not much, nor should you. The risks of serious side effects generally outweigh the benefits.

Nothing internal w/o dr. order. I used Vick's Vapo Rub on their little chests and put a towel over it. I still use it. Get everyone that smokes away from these children. This causes many permanent disorders.
