My son is three months old. I am feeling steadily more depressed every day. I know that I should go to the doctor but I just can't seem to go anywhere right now. I have never felt this bad before. Will this eventually go away by itself? Or will I have to get medical intervention. I love my son like crazy and take good care of him and play with him all day, but inside I am all crushed up and feel like someone else. I wish that I could just snap myself out of it and get back to my old self.

My doctor said to hold off but my mom said that it's okay to feed him a bit of water before feeding time. Is it okay to feed him water that has been boiled?

My 2 month old son has not fixed his sleeping pattern yet. In the day, he will have enough rest and wakes up every 2-3hrs for his milk feeding. My concern is in the night, once my son wakes up at 8pm for his milk, he will not turn into sleep till 1-2am. At times, i did encounter difficulties turning him to sleep in the day, he will cry. Seems like colic cry. But i'm uncertain of this. At which month will my son have a standard sleeping pattern? Do i need to wake him up when it is time for feeding? At times, he sleeps more than 5hrs without demanding for milk. Pls advice.... Thanks to all.

My son is 7wks old, and I was wondering if the shape of his head will fill out with time? I don't know if it's the way he's lying, he likes to lay turn his head to his left, so that side is flatter than the right side. Is 7wks a long enough time for this to happen? Or is that the shape his head will stay? I try to give him tummy time but at this young age after a minute he gets fussy in that position. I don't want him to have a funny head like that!!! Any suggestions or advice? Thanks

my son is 9 months old, last wednesday (the 7th) he had a fever of 103, i was able to get it down to 102 with tylenole and motrion. on thursday (the 8th) i took him to the dr and he said he had a cold. (i never herd a cold causing 103 fever but..) anyways that night i noticed a weird rash. it wasnt raised just blotchy. it was on his wrists, arms, hands, and ankles. it went away after 10 minuets. he continued to have a low grade fever (101 ish) until tuesday ( the 13th) he was fine all day tuesday, but then wednesday he started having a fever again, it is still low grade, but how long should this fever last with a cold. its been 8 almost 9 days. i dont want to take him in again, and them tell me its a cold again. any advice?

I am due March 1st and my boyfriend and I have a pit/lab mix dog that is the sweetest dog ever. I realize that there is some danger to having ANY dog around a baby/child, but I'm not one that believes that it is necessary that we find another home for our dog just because we're having a baby.
Of course if he ever appeared to pose a threat - he'd be gone in a heartbeat because I wouldn't risk my child's wellbeing on the obvious. But any dog is a risk whether they are small or large and no matter what breed they are. I feel like dogs are like people - each one has their own personality and you can't group them all together because of one bad person in the bunch...
Am I crazy to think this?

With my daughter the nurses took over. They washed her up while my placenta came out (I held her only briefly and then they took her to wash her up). They gave her a bottle so I good rest and I breastfed, but they gave her a few bottles. Now that I know more, I am disapointed with how it went down. This time I want a plan to tell the nurses. No bottles. I want to hold her right away. I want to give her that first and all her baths... what else? I need a plan because nurses tend to want their routine followed and I don't want to be dissapointed again with this one

I have heard from so many people that it is okay to put oatmeal in the baby's bottle before bed- they say it helps the baby sleep longer. I have also heard some conflicting advice about this- saying that they're not able to digest it. Does anyone do this? Or have any aversion to it?

i have 10 day old son. Came home today. One of the nurses at the hospital told me if i stopped putting the baby and only pumped that i would stop producing milk. I asked another nurse and she said she had never heard that before. My mom said that as long as i am getting the milk out pumping or putting the baby to breast i will continue to produce milk. I was just wondering what other moms thought and if any of you just pump and feed though bottles.

I was reading other answers and saw on a website ( http://www.promom.org/101/ It's reason #5) that it wont, and please dont tell me or ask me why im not breastfeeding, I simply cant for medical reasons and because of my occupation and the time they permit me to pump, even if i could breastfeed, but does anyone out there give me some more insight about this, and maybe some information about loseing the weight and shrinking your uterus back, i heard of red rasberry leaf but while you were pregnant... but heard it tones your uterus...

So can anyone help me out in how to lose the weight and shrinking you uterus without breastfeeding?

My son is 10 days old. he was born monday the 5th. We took him home wensday the 7th. we took him back to the hospital the following morning because he stopped breathing twice and he was very yellow. I also couldn't get him up to eat. he went 8 hours without eating. they said he was Jaundice. He spent 3 nights with special lights on. They also monitored him with and apnea monitor. they did an apnea sleep test to see what could have caused him to stop breathing (results not back yet). they let us take him today but he is on an apnea monitor. i just wanted to know how many other parents there are that have babys on apnea monitors and how long they were or have been on them? i also wanted info there is out there about babys and sleeping apnea. thank you all

I was wondering for those of you who had big babies, how much did they actually weigh? I am having my first baby, due Febuary 28th, and my ob/gyn has estimated that she will weigh around 10 pounds! I'm scared to have a baby that big, and was just curious to see who else had large babies. I dont have gestational diabetes and my ob says that the baby is perfectly healthy. Thanks!

My 3 week old had an upper GI and it showed reflux. She has some sleep apnea and she always chokes when she feeds (breast and bottle). She starts to weeze and its intermittent. She always gets the hicupps when she burps. She takes zantac twice a day and I sit her up for 45 minutes after every meal. At nite I prop her on a pillow after feeding. Am I missing anything. The breathing thing scares me.
