Might this hinder my relationship with others in the church even if I only talk like a baby on occasion with my kids in my own home?

Some experts believe that you shouldn't use baby talk with children because it hinders their language development. I agree because my parents never used baby talk with me and teachers were always extremely impressed with my language skills at a young age and I'm certainly not more intelligent than most...

Besides, it's annoying. :)

no. My ex and I used to babytalk to each other. IF you baby talk to your kids, they might not develop speech and compression as quickly.. but they will learn it and not 'hurt' them. Do what you want. If someone is tellign you that you are immature or infentile.. that person needs to show more respect and stop critisziing. You are doing just fine

i don't think it is a big deal as long as you do not do it where it is going to embarrass your children.
