I have been reading so much and talking to different mom's about their experience. Some mom's make me guilty and say "well, you are addicted to chocolate or caffine, it is her addiction"...which makes me nervous actually because I don't want her to have a habbit or addiction to a pacifier. Other mom's say they stopped cold turkey at 1 year, others at 6 months and let their babies cry it out for a few nights. I just am torn.
My daughter, Emma, has been the best sleeper. I have had a problem lately trying to decide if I am going to stop the pacifier cold turkey. If it pops out, it is the only reason she wakes up. While falling asleep, if she pops it out, then she has to cry and start all over again. I have read that it is better to stop sooner than later, before they become really attached and more aware of the sudden change. She only uses it to sleep, not during the day at all, which I think is good! Any thoughts on what to do? Thanks!!!

I was going to breastfeed and then I realized it was more than I thought and I am going to go back to work here soon. We started her out on Enfamil the closest thing to breast milk and she would do like a projectile vomit once a day then none the next then twice the next so I called the doc and he switched her to Similiac advance non milk and lactose for gassiness fussiness and spit up she seems to do better on that but it makes her real fussy then she would throw up but not as hard and as much so I called the doc again and he wanted to see her and he said pretty much give it time and wait to see our reg doc friday well she threw up more and we tried enfanil soy and she threw up the most on that so we went back to similac. has anyone had this prob i have no clue what to do and iam so upset and cry a lot over this....she would even throw up breast milk 2......

My cousin is having a baby, and wanted to make a carseat cover for her. The cover that I am talking about is the one that goes over the top of the car seat, you can either zip it or there is a hole at the top. If so is there a pattern that I can purchase? And what are the dimensions for the fabric that I will need?.

My son is 6 months old and i noticed a few days ago that he has little bumps under his chin. they are not red or irritated and he doesn't seem to be bothered by them. Anyone knows what it could be??? possibly a rash from drooling or maybe an allergic reaction???

My daughter is 14 months. Previously she was underweight and i started to give her Pediasure 3-4 times a day. Now she has reached her ideal weight. Can i continue giving her pediasure ( 3-4 times a) day instead of milk formula now? (even after her weight is ok!)

My son is 13wks old and he has a horrible cold, I took him to the doctor and they gave him a breathing maching and an antibotice. Well that same day I brought him back from the doctors he hasn't been eating really at all. I fill a 4oz bottle and he will only drink maybe 1oz. it is a lot less than what he has been eating. Is it normal when a baby has a cold to not really eat, he has been sleeping extremly a lot and when he is up, he is just sooooo fussy, has this happened to anyone.. thank you..

When I had my first son 3 years ago they told me not to give him water until he was a year old. Well a year came and here I go trying to give him water and he will not have it! I have tried since then and he's 3 now and still won't drink water.

I have a one month old son and here we go again... I can't give him water either. I just don't think it's healthy not to give them water. Why can't we give it to infants???? That's the question...

My sister's daughter screehes at the top of her lungs for no reason. Sometimes all you have to do is look at her. This just recently started about a month ago. What are things that we can do to stop her? Oh yes, she's 17 months.

my baby was born Sun. Breastfeeding at the hospital went good. When we came home, it seemed i wasnt producing enough milk. So, to soothe my baby, I gave him the (supplement)formula that they sent home with me in a bottle. I still continued to try to breastfeed. i have been massaging my breast alot. my milk is now coming out more.. but i cant get him to attached to the nipple now(used to the bottle). I cant get a brest pump until Friday. Do u have any suggestions on what i can do until then?
Is it ok to not breast feed for a few days and then start again?

I'm getting a little confused about when to stop feeding formula milk and move onto food that we eat. She is only seven months now, and has about 4 bottles of formula and 2 solids of pureed fruits or yoghurt per day. They say when they are 12 months they can have cows milk, so when she is 12 months do I stop giving her formula milk and give her bottles of cows milk? or does she go onto normal food like us, example, sandwiches, and things we eat. Im just getting confused about when she stops her bottle altogether?? What age did you stop giving your babies bottles?

Since she is exclusively on breastmilk, is it better to start with cutting out one feed at a time or completely start to give her my exprssed milk from the bottle at each feed? As mentioned she is 9 months old. Which option will give me a higher success rate?
