My daughter is 14 months. Previously she was underweight and i started to give her Pediasure 3-4 times a day. Now she has reached her ideal weight. Can i continue giving her pediasure ( 3-4 times a) day instead of milk formula now? (even after her weight is ok!)

i would check with her doctor. you don't want to do anything that may not be safe for her even if they said to until her weight was ok i would check and see if it's still ok to do so or not

my daughter is 20 months and we stopped giving her formula at twelve months to start giving her whole milk. we give her pediasure once a day with regular meals, while offering her water as much as possible. the doc says she is healthy and for us to continue the good job.

I would cut down the Pediasure......if you gave her that much to make her gain, that amount will make her keep gaining. if she is at an ideal weight, you just want to maintain her. so a supplement once or maybe twice per day. decrease it and see how she does. if she starts to lose again, you can bump it up some. if she still gains, you can pull back some.

How did you determine what "proper" weight is? .At that age they should still be on some kind of milk/soy formula of some kind as well as some type of foods. Please call you doctor/health professional as soon as you can.

stop giving her formula and give her whole milk. you are feeding her food, right? a child her age is going to have weight problems if you are not feeding them regular food.
