My lactation consultant told me that you can have 2 glasses of wine/beer or 1 mixed drink and could still nurse my baby. I am still nursing my 8 month old and have done this and he's fine. If I drink any more than that I pump and dump.

My son is 10 months i just stopped nursing my consultant said I'm OK to have a few drinks and still nurse because it wont go directly to the baby but if you plan on getting drunk barfing drunk you will want to pump your milk out and toss it the next day and drink lots of water i normally drank about 5 sex on the beaches and still nursed not on a reg basis but its fine.she also told me if you feel a little buzzed it wont hurt but if you don't feel comfortable like I didn't right away you can pump and dump.

I would feel safe having one or two drinks and then breastfeeding. Any more than that I would wait a few hours. Have fun!

well it depends how much your drinking, if its just 1 drink then at least 6 hours, i used to pump it out a few minutes before i fed my child after 6 hours.

One drink you don't have to worry about, any more than that I am not sure. My breastfeeding teacher told me if you cant drive then you cant nurse, and you should pump and dump.

1-2 drinks is fine , you can still nurse...anything over that you will have to pump and dump.

Its good to have a freezer stash for nights like that.

I wouldn't take a chance at all. You'll have plenty of time to drink when your no longer breastfeeding.
