We picked 2 names for a girl. We can't decide. So we are going with who the baby looks like more. If she looks like my boyfriend who is mexican and italian it's Isabella Sophia....if it looks like me it's Layla-May Denise (denise after my moms friend that died) IF it's boy it's Brock Anthony.

My breastfed baby was having blood in his stool every week and a half or so. Per his doctor's orders, I stopped eating dairy. All dairy - casien and lactose included. After about a month of okay diapers, he had blood in his diaper again. The doctor is talking about putting him on an "elemental diet" and I'm not ready to give up breastfeeding! Is there another food item (or items) that commonly causes bleeding in babies?

My friend is having identical twin girls. It was recommended that she paint the toenails of one of the girls so not to mix them up. She heard of a non toxic polish for babies. Does anyone know the product name? Thanks.

My daughter who is just nearly 4 months will not let anyone (besides me and my husband) to hold her. She screams and cries loudly as if in pain when others hold her or sometimes when they even talk to her. She even does this with people she knows (grandparents, uncles, aunts) and has seen every week since she's been born. We used to be able to leave her for at least an hour or two with no problems. Nothing is different and no trauma has occurred. I am returning to work soon and don't know what to do. Medically, this is too early to be stranger anxiety. Has anyone experienced this in such a young infant and what do I do?

I am in my early 20's and live with my boyfriend, we have babysat his niece (4mo) about 7 or 8 times since she was born, the youngest she was when we had her was probably at 1.5 months. I was curious at what age other mothers left their child with a sitter, I love her so much and enjoy the time I get to spend with her, I just think it's a bit strange that we have her for long hours and she is so young. Not that im complaining at all! We have her for usually 4/5 to as much as 10hrs at a time.

I understand mommies need time off, just wanted to make sure this doesnt seem out of the ordinary or that something is wrong.

Thanks for your repsonses!

sleep patterns? This little thing sleeps during the day and is awake all night long. She is not colicky or fussy, just awake! Mom is exhausted and cannot figure out what to do. Also, do you know any websites she can visit to learn more about babies? Thanks

He sleeps in his swing everynight and it's the only place he will sleep. My husband and I are starting to wonder if we continue to let him sleep in the swing, will it eventually curve his spine? I don't want to do anything to hurt my baby so if it will affect him i want to start working on getting him to sleep in his crib.
