I rather think Bumlord has a regal tone to it, but Doctor Octopus may promote the boy towards a career in medicine or super villany. What do you think?

Bumlord is indeed a fine, elegant name. I can picture a bold, successful man by the name of Bumlord. Go for it, his school friends will honour him for such a fine name.

I prefer Bumlord, however maybe try an alternate spelling. Alternate spellings are hip these days (example: Kelli, Jaymee).
Try Bumelord or Bumlorde. The "e" is silent! I think it looks sophisticated and very European.

Personally i'd go with Octavious that way he has the option of going by Doc Oc if he wants to be a super villian or a doctor.
