Are there any good eczema treatments out there? My 5 month old daughter has it pretty bad on her legs and some on her arms as well. Any tried and true solutions?

This is my 2nd child with a 6 year difference in age. When my son was in dayare, I had no problems. Now, my daughter is going to a new daycare, someone who is actually a good friend of mine. She is the only infant there. She is a demanding child at times, but not that bad. I would say not spoiled, but does like to have attention on her. What baby doesnt. Her daycare provider has advised me that she is now putting her in 'time out.' If she starts crying for no reason, she gets put in a room alone, to cry until she stops. This is so hard for me to grasp and I am not sure if what she is doing is correct or not. I tend to have to take a deep breath every now and then when my daughter is home, but I do not put her in a room to cry. She is to young for that in my eyes. Just need suggestions of how to handle the situation, and let me know if the daycare provider is doing her job right. Thanks!

My son has four teeth. Two are on top, in front. Two are on bottom, in front. He's in the process of getting a fifth tooh. It's on the bottom, in the middle.

He can now eat a cookie or cracker by himself without a problem. We've never given him anything smaller than a vanilla wafer, though.

How do you know if your child is ready for something smaller?

Sometimes he will eat if someone else feeds him. And he'll usually eat if we make him sit there and wait, especially if we make him watch us eat. But sometimes he just refuses to eat it, period. The last couple of weeks I've had to give him a bottle more than once just to get him to eat. I know I shouldn't do this, but some days it's the only way to get him to eat.

What do you guys think? Does he suddenly have a problem with me feeding him? Or is he simply bored of eating babyfood?

(Note: I'm getting ready to start feeding him other things, some finger foods. I just haven't gotten there yet. I'm beginning to think he just wants to feed himself. Any ideas?)

I realize that all babies are different and they all react differently.. so if that is what you are going to tell me, spare yourself the time.

What are some general foods to avoid while breastfeeding because they are known to make the baby gassy?
Thanks.

I put my 2 month old baby on his side in one of those postioners in his bassinet. He has great head control. He can turn his head from side to side and lift it up with his chest and a little bit with his hands. Last night he slept all night and I was very surprised. I found out it was because he managed to roll over onto his stomach. During the day when I am watching him I let him sleep on his tummy in the living room in his little seat/bed he has. This is when he sleeps the longest. Should I wake him up and turn him back over or should I let him stay asleep if he rolls over to his tummy during the night?

Well I have a one year old boy and I am pregnant, due in september. I plan on keeping the newborn in a bassinett for the first couple of months and then I was thinking about putting the baby in the crib that my one year old is currently using. Do you think 2 years old is to young to have a toddler bed if it has side rails? Should I think of a different plan? Also I was wondering how am I going to deal with a newborn and a 21 month old? Is it hard? I am just a little nervous and would like some advice.

NOW, read this question very carefully and be sure to answer only if this applies to you.

I am NOT asking if you think ear piercing is good or bad, I'm asking IF you have your baby's ears pierced WHEN did you do it and how was the experience for you and your baby? Where did you have it done? Did they do both ears at once or one at a time?

And I might add that simply because I am asking this question does not imply that I am piercing my baby's ears nor that I plan to, it's simply a question so please take it at that.

Thank you in advance for sharing your story
