It is a little too early for cereal unless your baby is so big that she needs a food suppliment. She should be strictly on a bottle at her age. You should be feeding her every 4-5 hours if it is formula. No milk now!!!!!

You ask about a bottle so i take it you're nursing the baby now and have started food already. For me, I was told not to feed my babies until 6 months with rice flakes cereal at first. No milk products are to be given the baby as their digestive tracts are not strong enough for it yet, milk products will cause upset bellies and VERY unhappy babies (not to mention the gastric distress that goes with that). their digestive system needs to be more mature for dairy, may I suggest to use water instead of milk in that cereal and please check with your doctor on that as well. As far as bottles are concerned there really is no reason to give a nursed baby a bottle as you will continue a year or two in nursing, therefore it has no need to suckle off a bottle. Your baby will be able to use a cup with a cover on top if they hold it themselves in a few short months. You teach them to drink from a cup.

i don't understand your question, but she should take to a bottle unless she prefers the breast, which happens a lot when a baby has no previous exposure to a bottle. why do you want to give her a bottle if you are breastfeeding? the closeness and intimacy of breastfeeding is healthy for her and you. also, take it easy with the amount of cereal for a while, her digestive system is still sensitive and will be until she gets used to something other than liquids.

Usually immediately following small amounts of cereal babies are ready for a smaller than normal bottle.
