yellow is normal it's colostrum. Don't know about the stringy stuff though. You should check with the doctor on that one.
check out this site...it is pretty technichal, but read paragraph 3, it talks about stringy milk. You should try calling a Le Leche League rep, get some advise...stringy is not normal, I think most of the people answering here missed that part of your question.

Yeah, it really is wonderful. you likely arent noticing with all the poo interior the diaper. besides, what constitutes alot of pee for a clean toddler is nearly 1 million oz.certainly! strange stools are wonderful for Bfed toddlers, now and again like cottage cheese, or vivid eco-friendly, or orange, or vivid yellow is maximum uncomplicated... Yeah, truly strange! besides, if he makes 4-5 moist AND poopy diapers an afternoon, no matter if it really is two moist and three poo, or a million moist & 4 poo, it doesnt count number. What concerns is that his little gadget is getting to understand to positioned it out and that is sturdy. I Bfed all 3 of my children, nevertheless Bfeeding my 14 mo previous. keep up the sturdy artwork. keep in ideas the more effective you allow him suckle the more effective milk you'll make. authentic circumstances of no longer-enuf-milk take position in about 5-10% of the inhabitants. also about 80 5% of discomfort linked with nursing is by using flawed latch, of toddlers mouth on you. nursing is a discovered habit, he has to study and so do you, it takes 2-3 wks previously he will be latching on wisely very virtually every time. practice taking him off gently and repositioning him till eventually he receives it top. Dont be afraid to call a lactation representative or lact. nurse on the well being facility, they're typically a huge help.

I've breast fed 3 babies... the yellow is colostrum but I think you need to call a lactation consultant about the stringyness... it's not suposed to be stringy: Here are couple of breastfeeding links that might help:

That is perfectly fine and actually a good thing. Collastrum is good for the baby's digestive system. If you are pumping that you will notice that after a few weeks of doing it your milk will get lighter and that yellow will go away.
Good luck!

It's good for your baby but also buy some ointment because sooner or later your breast will become sore and your skin will peel off and when you breast feed again it will hurt so much try to get free samples in pharmacies or stores each medicine cost 13-14 dollars that will probably last you up to a week or 2 apply and let it dry off and if you want to feed your child right after the medication that will also be fine i accidently did and no harm to her

This 'yellow' stuff is a natural thing. Its called colostrum and it helps with your son's immune system. Babies who are bottle fed miss out on this important stuff.

It's collostrum. It's the best part. In a few days you'll be feeding your baby milk. Don't worry. It's normal.
