I read that there are now kids named Harry Potter, Gandolf, Adidas, and Reebok. . . Oh and Apple.

I'm sorry but that's not being unique or individualistic, it's a permanent punishment for your kids!

Why?

My 6 mo old laughs at the strangest things. The other day it was the dog laying down sleeping. Then it was a flag blowing in the wind. Then it as her older brother walking in front of her. once it was the water running in the sink. Another was me scratching my head. My son, 21 mo, laughed at the windshield wipers. And he laughed at me or daddy sneezing. Kids are so commical aren't they? Don't they put a smile on your face? They are so cute! Whats something your baby got tickled at?

My daughter was born one week ago, at 34 weeks 5 days. We knew she might come early and she received the steroids at 28 weeks. She came out breathing fine and weighed 6lbs 10ozs. Doctor had us stay in the hospital for 72 hours to ensure she didn't have any problems; she didn't. She stayed with us the entire time. She had an IV for about 24 hours to get her glucose count up. Needed suppositories to get her stared, but is fine now.She lost 1& 1/2 lbs, the docs wern't too concerned as the wife's milk hadn't come in yet. She is being breast fed and eating very well with normal bowel movements. She has gained back up to being 5-10. She has a little Jaundice, but not enough to use the glow blanket. Doctor says it will pass as she regains her weight and moves her bowels more. I've been reading about preemies all week; why is my daughter doing so well? Should I still be concerned? Our pediatrician doesn't appear to be. Is she really just a normal baby now? I fear we're overlooking something.

I'm a new mom and I bottlefeed but I wanted to try breastfeeding as well. It's been a few weeks since my delivery but i think all my milk is gone. So, if you don't use your milk right away does it just dry up or something. Because now i think i have no milk anymorei try to get some out but nothing comes out?

I run my own business and have part-time help. Before i had my daughter, I imagined being super-mom and having a crib in my office for her so that i could manage my business and be close to her. She's 4 months old now. Could bringing her to work with me effect her negatively or would it be better to spend time with her outside of work only? I love her dearly and don't want to be the kind of mom who works and never sees her child. I also don't want to give up my career. Thoughts appreciated.

My 7 month old is preparing to fly to his uncles wedding in Key west. So we'll be on a puddle jumper too. I'd love to know any tricks on getting an extra seat or any savvy advice. I've heard about benedryl and would prefer not to use it. Any other must knows

I was reading in What to Expect and it described a cough as being either productive or non productive, what do they mean by this? And how would you tell on a baby?

My little one seems to be on a hunger strike and although I don't want to make food an issue by focusing too much on getting her to eat I must admit I am concerned. Part of the issue may be the fact that she strongly prefers self-feeding and has taken to refusing anything that comes on a spoon the majority of the time. Her only teeth are in the front so my finger food options are limited.

Or, is it normal for them to want to eat so often. The pediatrician said to try and get him to eat more at his feedings....but he always falls asleep or doesn't want to feed for longer than 10-15 minutes total, usually just on one breast at a feeding?? Do they usually outgrow this, and should I just stick it out and feed him when he's hungry, or let him scream.....which is REALLY hard for me to do!

My son was born on this past Thursday via c-section 2 months early and is in the NICU. I started using a breast pump on the 6th and my milk supply still hasn't come in; I only get a few drops. Has anyone experienced this? How long did it take for your milk to come in? I'm pumping every 2 hours for 15 minutes.

My baby is 6 weeks old and I am breastfeeding. My husband and I introduced the bottle when she was 4 weeks old. She initially took the bottle very well and then then this past week began to refuse the bottle altogether. We have been attempting to give her a bottle for the past 5 days with no success. She cries and cries until I finally nurse her from my breast. We have even tried extending her time of feeding to ensure that she was hungry. We have also tried a variety of bottles; gerber, Dr. brown and Avent. Nothing is working. She has to take the bottle for when she goes to daycare or if I just want to get out. I even tried putting something sweet on the bottle nipple (gas med.) and this didn't even work. Any suggestions would be a BIG help. We are really frustrated and worried. HELP!!!!!!!!
