That is okay. Every baby grows at a different rate. My daughter is also a little low on weight, she was only 18 lbs 15 oz at her 12 month checkup. Today at her 15 month checkup, she is 22 lbs. You should ask your pediatrician for your daughter's growth chart so you can see how she is growing and what her percentiles are.

As long as your dr isn't worried, I wouldn't worry. My son is actually probably about the size of your daughter and the same age. She might just be a tall, skinny girl. It also depends on the size she was when she was born. My son was only 5lbs when he was born, so the fact that 9 months later he has more than tripled his birth weight is pretty good.

I assume you are taking her for her regular pediatric visits. You have to make sure she is being seen by her doctor. It isn't unusual for little girls to be tiny but she must have the proper diet and vitamin intake. You MUST confer with the pediatrician. That's what he does.

It really depends on where she's at on the curve. Her doctor would have said something. If you're that worried, you should ask at her next appointment or give them a call.

That's something to ask your doctor. Ask the doctor about what percentile she is in, and you and can see how she compares to other children her age.
