I am breastfeeding and pumping since I work full time. I work 12 hour shifts and sometimes it is very hard to get in time to pump since I work in the hospital and patients need help now. My son is 8 months old and I really enjoy breastfeeding and the time together. I end up supplementing on the days I work and give daddy the milk i pump to feed him the next day. On my 4 days off I breastfeed all I can but seem to not make enough milk for the day. When I pump I have a hard time letting down knowing that I have to get back to work soon and thinking about my patients. How do you know when to give up breastfeeding? I also thought about just breastfeeding in the morning and at night, but don't know if that will work either. Thank you for your help.

He is declawed, 7 years old, and very gentle. I would think they'd be okay in the same house.. what does everyone think about cats and babies? Any bad experiences?

I don't know what to do, I really don't want to let them do it.. but everyone says it's for the better and that he needs it done. A couple years ago I was with someone who hadn't been circumcised, and it wasn't weird or anything.. so what's the big deal? I just don't want my child to be in pain the first hours he's welcomed into the world.. and I definetly don't want him to have it later than that either. Any suggestions? Thank you!

I was in a friends kitchen one day and I saw her honey bottle laying around. On the back of it said "Warning: Don't let infants under 1 years of age consume." Why?

My daughter is almost 4 months old. She was born with a nice thick, full head of black, extra-curly hair, but for the past month or so, her hair has gradually been falling out in the back & on the sides--so that now it kinda looks like a patchy high-top fade or mohawk, lol. She doesn't lay on any one side more than usual, and I try to keep her hair from rubbing out too much by laying her under a piece of satin fabric.

Anywhoo, to the other moms--is this a common thing you've experienced w/ your babies? How long did it take for your baby's hair to grow back, and was it a different texture/thickness? Thanks!

Can someone join me in losing weight? I need the encouragement.
I am a SAHM with a beautiful 5 month old son. I BF but have only lost 10 of the 40 pounds I put on during pregnancy. I plan on following the Slim Mom's Secret diet.

my boyfriend and i are supossed to go to his niece's 1st birthday party today but his mom and the b-day girl have both been sick this past week and still aren't over it yet.I told my b/f this morning that i wasn't sure about taking our 9 day old with us because i didn't want to expose him to the germs. He got mad at me for saying that because his whole family is expecting to see the new baby. He told me just to make everyone wash their hands and use germ-x before holding him. Then about 15 minutes later he told me that it was up to me if we took him or not(but i know that if we don't that he will be ticked) Am i just being too paranoid about this or am i right to be concerned about taking our baby over there?

My wife has been breatfeeding from the start but on Friday we took our son to the Dr. it turns out he has only gained 6 oz from his birth weight. The nurse told us to suppliment formula 3 times per day. We did this - now he won't latch on. Only wants the bottle. We have a crying baby and a crying wife mom. Any advice? Is this normal when you suppliment? (and yes, of course I'm being supportive) :)
