Do you have to wear a bra to bed? If so, for how long? Thank you in advance.

you will probably have to wear a bra at night with nursing pads, just because you will leak. when your milk comes in at first your breasts will most likely be huge, heavy, and hard as rocks, so you will need the support of a good bra 24 hrs a day. after a couple weeks, you may be more comfortable without a bra if you arent too big still, but most nursing women need to use nursing pads for leakage, and you need a bra to hold them there.

Its up to you, but I found wearing a nursing bra at night more comfortable as they give you a bit of support when they are full with milk and also so you can keep breast pads in place. If you do, get a few good nursing bras for night time and you will probably sleep and feed more comfortably and easier. Good Luck.

I usually wore a bra in the early days when you are leaking all over the place. That way I could keep breast pads in at night to catch any leaks. After the first 6 weeks or so I didn't need it anymore.

I had to wear a nursing bra/sports bra with nursing pads to bed. I wore them for about 6 months. This was the most comfortable for me. If your breasts are still sore (after nursing) than pump before you go to bed. This will relieve some of the pressure.

It depends upon the situation, how you feel comfortable?
I think it's not required at all to wear a bra at bed time while you are a baby feeder, night clothing is enough, if you leak, it doesn't matter anyway, because leaks are not so much in most cases! Moreover leaks tells you that it's time to feed your baby!
All depends upon you and your child's comfort.

We always slept with our children. I just wore a nursing nightgown with the slits (or loose blouse that opened down the front, or no top). When my baby wanted to nurse, he did and we just slept through the night. Everyone woke up in the morning, refreshed, and my kids were extremely secure. People would ask, "Is he sleeping through the night?" I would answer, "I don't know. I am."
