I haven't changed laundry detergent, no new soap, she hasn't eaten anything new, pretty much I can't think of anything that has changed that would make her break out. But, for the past few days (today being the most) she started getting these little reddish pink spots(not raised from the skin really, more of a surface like rash) all over her body (face, back, stomach, diaper area...etc). Has anyone else had this problem? Did you figure out what the issue was?

Right now I have a 2 year old cat who has been around children from the ages of a week old to their teens. I'm not too worried about introducing the baby to my cat, but I am 5 1/2 months pregnant now and I am considering getting a large dog - Rottweiler, Husky, Newfoundland, Labrador or a mix of one of the above (but I will get the dog when it is 8-12 weeks). I am moving into a house by myself and need a dog for protection/safety reasons being a single woman, pregnant and living on my own. I have had plenty of large dogs before and I do not need anyone's lecturing on large dogs and babies, I know how to train them and I have plenty of time to do so before the baby is born and will after as well. I also have a fenced in yard for the dog to run and play when he/she wants to be outside. I just need to know what other people have done to introduce a baby into a household with animals. Please, keep your negative remarks to yourself.

My daughter wants this toy. An aquaintance said she thinks you have to buy diapers and food over and over for the doll. That you have to trash the dirty diapers and not wash them and the food actually disappears and youll have to buy more. What is this? Another human baby for me to support or what?? Is thuis true or was she misinformed?

My son's first tooth cut through his gums last night (he's 5 months old) and I was just wondering how long does it take until it's fully through, until I can actually see the whole thing? I know all babies are different, just an approximation? Thanks everyone!

Earlier I had asked how long good start formula would stay good once I boiled the water and mixed the formula if I put it with an ice pack inside of an insulated bag...I got a few helpful answers but many people said " don't boil your water and mix it ahead of time...bring the water and premeasure the formula and make it when you need it." Well...my doctor told me not to do this. They said that part of the reason you are told to boil it is so that it dissolves the formula completely. If you don't they said it will give your baby a tummy ache.

Anyone else ever heard of this???

My doctor recently told me my son needed 20oz/day (this was during a rotavirus, he is healthy now). He's 19.6oz and 29". Problem is, he really doesn't drink as much as usual. He'll guzzle about 5 oz around 7am, won't take a bottle at lunch (tried water, juice, formula..everything), and will finally drink more (about 5 oz) around 2pm, then 4-5oz at bedtime (he used to drink 8 oz!). BUT he is eating a good amount, rice cereal, stage 2 and 3 foods, fruits, meats etc...

Is he drinking enough???

Hi ,I am new to America and would like to know more about baby registry and baby shower.Does it work as follows :I go register at babiesrus the things I need and this includes least expensive items like dishwasher rack to the baby cot .And then the guests:my husbands colleagues choose from my list what they would like to gift me .So do i need to remove some items from the registry list ,which could be an embarasment for me if my husbands friends find out the things I need like breastfeed pillow ,breast pump etc. Can you all provide me more information regarding the whole deal.

What do you guys think of the name Caileanne Jane

(pronounced K eye-Leanne)

She could go by C.J. if she was a tom boy, or Caileanne if she was a little girly

my daughter has a Nissen Fundoplication and a MicKey button feeding tube. She has cycles of gagging/dry heaves. For several days- a week she will be fine,no gagging. But then she will have several days of severe gagging. She gags so hard she drops her heart rate. Her doctors have no clue except the fact that the Nissen Fundoplication can cause gagging/ dry heaves. Has anyone else dealt with this? Did your child outgrow it? What can be done to help? Any input would be great. thanks.
