You can say something to her and she will jump and be scared, sit something beside and and she will jump start to cry like something is wrong. I have noticed most of the time it is loud noises when this happens to her. Just wondering why she gets startled so easy?

my fiance and I and our 4 month old baby went to visit his trailer trash half sister. Our baby is at the age where she will put anything in her mouth. His sister put her unwashed thumb in our baby's mouth and let her suck on it for a good minute all while laughing and commenting on how funny it was! I was mortified and too shocked to speak! I think that is so rude and and that she shoud know better. I would never stick my finger in anybody's baby's mouth family or not!I was mad at my fiance for not saying anything and at myself. I though it would be easier for him since it is his sister and i didn't want to seem like a ***** which i am often called for asserting myself. I am so mad i couldn't bring myself to say " you know she has a pacifier or her own thumb to suck on thanks!" Would that have sounded mean? I am the baby's mother afterall.
thanks

Craig just posted that question and to all you people out there who answered back and said that I'm a ****, I just want to tell you, you's don't know the whole story. Sure we met at the club and we were both drunk. Yeah we had unprotected sex. But I'm telling you that I never went out much and did not do this all the time. I was offering him a dna test incase he doubted me, not because I was lying to him. I have no reason to lie, expesially since he is the only one that I slept with for the past 18 months. I don't want to try and trap him thats why I gave hime the oppourtunity to decide if he wants to be in my daughters life. And yes I didn't tell him until now because I thought that I could manage on my own. Just for your info my daughter is 4 months old and was born on July 20th 2006. Yes she was three weeks late. I have already told him that. Plus I never asked him for money just support to be in her life. Oh I did ask him for some nappies. That was all.

I have been breastfeeding exclusively for seven weeks. I have to go back to work in two weeks, so I've stored breastmilk. The problem is, my baby refuses the bottle. She screams every time I put it in her mouth, no matter how hungry she is. I've tried it when she's sleeping, too. Are there any tricks to getting babies to drink from a bottle?

I had a one night stand last sept with this girl i met at the club.
I got phone call at work 2day from her & she said that she had a baby girl who is 3 1/2 mths old & is mine.
She told me she kept this from me coz we are 23 & she didn't want this to ruin my life, she said the reason she called is because she thought she could do it on her own but now she needs me 2 help her out with money and support.
She said if i don't believe her we can have a dna test done....I want 2 but i dont want to upset her coz she semed depressed & said that she has no support from anyone. The only thing is when we slept 2getha we didnt use protection & she said she hasn't been with anyone else since me.
I really want to help and support her. She said she'd give me some time to think about if i want to be part of their lives. I have neva seen "our" baby yet, but she said she's bring her to me. the only prob is i have a g/f now & dont no how 2 tell her. what should i do im so confused.

Child care is not an issue. Asking purely from a physical aspect. Vaginal birth, no complications.

My wife and I are having a real problem!! You see we recently had our first child 5 months ago. Since day one I have thought it good to have Her sleep in her our crib *IN our room* that we had bought! However my wife has let her sleep in the bed with her and I have slept in the guest room !! NOW I do think in her 5 th month she is ready for her crib * still in our room * and my dear wife is holding ground and won't even try a nap time of 2 hours * she thinks it is COLD to abandoned Her in her crib and not have her lie next to her !! Meanwhile I am still in the guest room !! So how long should the parents wait until they begin to let her sleep in her own crib??? I have heard if you wait to long it could cause real problems and she will want to sleep in our bed still at age four...? Who is right Here?????

I'm breastfeeding my second son right now. My first quit breastfeeding at 6 months on his own. For some crazy reason I thought this one would do the same. (yeah .. I don't know what I was thinking.) He is 9 months old now and no where NEAR being weaned. He WILL NOT take a bottle sippy cup or anything. I have not had more than 3 hrs to myself in the past 9 months and I would really love a break.. just one day or something. anyone have any suggestions OTHER than just letting him cry until he takes the bottle? I cannot let him just cry when I know he is hungry??

I had my first child 3 yrs ago and only breast fed for for or five months.I continued to lactate because of different birth controls....finally stopped birth control and the milk slowed but didn't stop. Now I'm pregnant again(only 7weeks)and the milk has stopped flowing completely!..When I pressed on one of my breasts a small amount of clear fluid came out and nothing more..kinda like when I first started lactating......Is my body starting the lactating process over again?and if so..Where's the old milk that filled my bosom?

I believe baby boys are born perfect, and I don't think a foreskin is a birth defect that requires surgery. I looked at this site, noharmm.org, and I really feel circumsicion is like genital mutilation now....what do you think?

I want her to be healthy and happy and feel that breastfeeding is the absolute best choice but I am so scared of what is in babyfood and the older she is before I feed her any solid food the more prepared I feel her little body will be for it.
