I like the name MacKenzie it's nice, I've heard it used for a boy or a girl. But that's been the case for years, e.g. Ashley, Leslie or Lindsay can be both and I know both. As for it being a surname, loads of names can be both too. So don't worry I think you chose a great name for your son. x

It has been proven by research that children perform better at school if they have a more 'usual' name. The best performers for boys are the boys with the name of 'James.'
Trendy names date kids. Really sad, although the parents still seem to like them for some reason.
For girls, Kylie will soon be in the brackets of Agatha or Winnifred. Please don't do it - give your child a normal name!

I agree with the person that posted above, Mackenzie is generally a girl's name, but whatever. I don't like many of the "trendy" names. I named my boys Trace and Toby.

Mine are called John and Steven,i had a problem agreeing on a girls name with my husband so luckily we didn't need one!If it was up to me my girl would be called Ellis or Jordyn and another boy would be Ryan or Jack.
Mckenzie is more for a boy i think but i do like Kenzie for a girl

My son is Andrew (manly, strong) David (Beloved of God).

Though Mackenzie isn't my pick of names, it's not a bad one. I knew a chick named Mikey. That's what was on her Drivers License. So names can be crossed over if you choose.

That's a great name, and totally unisex. I like Caleb & Julian for a boy; Sarah & Rebecca for a girl. But McKenzie is suitable for a boy (i think)... it's not like you named him Jessica or Melissa!
