Many stores sell a cradle cap kit that has shampoo & a treatment in it, it is only abot 10. Also I have heard of people using a small amount of baby oil. Make sure you are not bathing her too much, a new born only needs a bath about every 3 days according to doctors

This is what I did-
I put some baby oil on her hair, combed it through, and kept combing and combing until it was gone.
Sometimes you might have to try the next day too but it all comes out.
Baby oil works like a dream.
By the way a baby comb ok?
Just keep combing and combing with the baby oil in her hair...
It works well.

A bit of baby oil at night also use a thin baby cap (similar to the cap the hospital used just after your baby was born)... massage the baby oil into the babies scalp gently.... In the morning give the babys hair a quick washing make sure to use a baby shampoo with moisturizer...

If it doesn't clear up in a week or two visit your pediatrician there are prescription creams and shampoos available for persistant cases...

i have been told a few different things from different people and doctors. One thing you can try is baby oil. Put it on, leave it there for an hour and then use either a fine tooth baby comb or a baby brush (in circular motions if using the brush) to get it out. I have aslo been told to use head and shoulders..a very smallamount leave it on for about 1 minutes then rinse using one of the comb or brush. Hope one of these works for you. I actually found the baby oil works a tad bit better.

Nothing much worked well for us because everything left her hair greasy. Keep it clean, of course and use a tight toothed comb as it will get more of it out. You can try an oil like baby or olive and if you can deal with how it affects her hair, great. If not, you'll just have to grin and bear it. This too shall pass.

What worked for my children was I bought a real fine tooth comb and every day I would spray a leave in condtioner like Johnson & Johnson No More Tangles in their hair and comb it through. It was just enough to condtion their scalp with out making their hair oily and it smelled alot like a baby to boot!

baby oil, it work for my 3 kids. rubb into scalp and use mousterized shampoo, it helps to keep moisture in the scalp. Gently, brush 3 to 4 times a day to get rid of it faster.

When you wash the baby's head, gently use your fingernails to massage the scalp. Then when you are done, and the hair is rinsed well, put a little baby oil on her head. Very lightly. This was recommended by my children's Dr and it worked well

Before you go buying a bunch of expensive creams try rubbing olive oil on her scalp. Olive oil is natural vitamin E, is non-toxic, and easily absorbed into the skin, in fact many women used nothing else on their skin before the days of expensive cosmetics.
