Unless you are still producing milk your baby wont get enough food.
For the past 6 weeks she has learned to suck from a bottle changing to breast will confuse her as she will not properly latch on.
Personally I wouldn't try to make the switch.

Oh YES it is sooooo possible! I have a 9 month old. After leaving the hospital with no support or lessons about breastfeeding, I brought my daughter home and tried and tried to breastfeed her, to no success. For a while ( about two weeks) she had NO breast at all. Depending on your current milk production, you should be able to do it. My baby was a month old when she finally got onto the breast. I felt like giving up, i use to cry about it and it was very painful, but I kept it up! It will happen if you keep it up. When the baby is hungry always try the breast first. Even if the baby cries, put he/she on the breast and try for some time. If it fails than give a bottle and pump your milk. keep this up, and your baby could very well get on the breast. I did this and she eventually was off the bottle after being on it for a month. She is still breastfeeding now. Good Luck, and contact the La Leche League, they can offer you a great deal of support! Congratulations!

You'll have to be very persistant and get used to the crying for a short time. A bottle is very easy to feed from, requiring very little sucking effort. Suckling milk out of a breast is much more of an effort for your baby, but as she develops the proper muscles and finds satisfaction in it, she'll settle down and enjoy it. Remember that the breast needs some sucking before it really lets the milk out but the bottle gave it up immediately, so be patient with her.

Start cutting back on the bottles and offering the breast more.

She may be frustrated at the breast since the milk flow from the bottle is easier/quicker. Pumping until you get a letdown and then offering the breast might help, as she'd get a quicker reward.

You didn't say if you always fed her breastmilk, or if you gave her formula ? If your milk is still in, you will just have to learn how to latch her on to breastfeed, and the baby should be fine. There are some great video's from Jack Newman, and don't be afraid to call a lactation consultant from the hospital you gave birth. You will be glad you did. It's a lot easier ! Don't give up, good Luck.

you should of started breast feeding instead. try putting breast milk in a bottle and if that doesn't work try changing the temperature of the milk. Some babies like it cold, some warm, it differs. If that doesn't work consult your doctor.

i'm stunned that rice cereal grew to become into cautioned so early to your toddler. i does not be beginning solids yet for those motives. a. there is not any evidence that thickening a feed can shrink acid reflux ailment... the jury continues to be out on that. that's because of the fact thickening the foodstuff would provide up them vomiting and popping out of the mouth for the reason that's heavier, even though it would nonetheless be traveling some way up their esophagus and inflicting harm to it. maximum medical doctors decide to grant drugs that reduces the acidity of the vomit so it does not harm or reason discomfort whilst it comes up. b. little ones have an particularly immature digestive equipment and including solids to formulation is calling their little bodies to do an aweful lot of artwork. formulation is greater durable to digest than breastmilk first of all and then in case you preserve including solids (exceedingly distinctive ones alongside with banana, pear and rice cereal) you're asking lots of their very new and arising bodies. In 5 weeks (when you consider which you stopped breast feeding) you have given him 2 categories of formulation, plus 3 distinctive meals, all previously the age they are even recommending to start solids. c. the toddler is probably enjoying the candy style of the foodstuff further to the bottle. i don't think of that's clever to be including issues that are candy only yet, exceedingly if he has began rejecting his morning bottle with out it. d. breastmilk and formulation are the main nutritionally finished meals to your toddler. The greater toddler foodstuff you provide your toddler, the less formulation they are going to desire and this reduces their standard foodstuff as they might in basic terms soak up lots and desire each and all of the supplementations and minerals for his or her transforming into physique. No foodstuff has as much as breastmilk or perhaps formulation. stick to the medical doctors recommendations to function cereal and go away it at that for now.

If you are still producing milk then it's possible to switch baby to breast. Contact your local La Leche League or just call your ob/gyn's office and ask them to get you in contact with a lactation consultant.

Obviously stop breast feeding . Why did you switch to begin with?? I would stay on formula because 1. she doesn't want the breast and 2 she may not get enough food if you force her.
