Our almost 9 month old daughter has started to eat things like cheerios and crackers. Any suggestions for other bite-sized things she can eat? Her bottom two teeth are almost out all the way, and she uses them well to eat and everything.
Extra info: We are leaving to move to washington state tomorrow, and it will be a 4-day car drive. So suggestions for easy snacks on the trip or after we get settled and I have time to prepare food are welcome!

Just asking out of interest really. I'm 30, married andv happy with my husband. I really want a baby but when I think about it too hard I think No I'm not ready. But I would make a good mum I know I would but I just can't be 100% in my head. But then I've never been the broody type thats gone mad over other people babies. Is this normal???? What does anyone think?

I have been very lucky my 5 month old has been sleeping through the night since 6 wks. I put her down after her last feeding and change and she just goes to sleep no problem But the last few nights have been hell. She has been waking up like an hour after I put her to bed for no apparent reason. She is not hungry sometimes not even wet its not gas or a fever and as far as I can tell she is not teething yet. She does chew a lot during the day but she is happy and not cranky during the day. She just wants to be up and cry unless you go in there. I have had to rock her to sleep like she is a new born. I don’t know why or what is going on. Should I just let her cry or what? I am pulling my hair out. It takes like three hours to get her to sleep.

It even looks and smells like breast milk diapers. My daughter drank cow's milk, so I don't know if that's right or not.

The baby does so well on Alimentum formula but WiC no longer offers Similac products, rather they are switching this month to Enfamil. Does anyone know if Enfamil makes something comparable?

Giving a baby benadryl, might make it sleep, but it can cause the pleasure centers to not fully develop. And later can affect behavior.

My husband wants to buy something for him to carry our baby in when it is born, but he's worried that the carriers will be hard on the baby's legs. I thought maybe a sling would be better, but I think that they can probably only be used when the baby is fairly small. Does anyone have any opinions on which is better. Thanx for your input!

My daughter is about 2 weeks old. I took her out yesterday, and it was raining and about 40degs. She was bundeled up, even had a cloth over the car seat while outside for a short period. My family got real upset saying no one should take such a little kid out. Whats your opinion on this.

I am trying to find out if there is sensitivity training for nurses and Dr.s who deliver babies with Down Syndrome or other obviouse special needs. Is there something for the nurses who work with the babies and their families before they are discharged from the hospital after birth? At my local hospital where my son was born, the nurses and Dr's clearly had know idea how to act. They were not mean or rude, they just basically said nothing. Would'nt even look us in the eyes. I don't blame them . They did not know what we were going through and if they have never had training, how would they?
