If they are religious ppl, guardian angels that are not childlike are a lovely gift and have dual purpose. Another idea is a book, a nice leather-bound classic, perhaps Tom Sawyer for the boy and Secret Garden for the girl. Adding a personal inscription in the front cover of the book is also a nice touch. They are classic stories and they can keep it with them for years to come.

congratulations to your Friends!

How much money do you want to spend? There are some nice keepsakes at Tiffany's also for less money through Baby Style they have a website. They will allways remeber your gift if you get them diapers sent through Pampers.(it is avalible online they send diapers out you pick the limit)

My grandma gave me something that I still have!

She used pieces of clothes to make a quilt. Some were hers, some were other family members', some from the moms and dads, siblings, friends of the family, etc. She embroidered their names on the squares. When another new baby was born or someone married into the family, she'd make more squares from some clothing of theirs and add another row to the quilt. It didn't get used much when I was a teenager, but I'll sure use it when I have kids of my own. It's a reminder of our family and friends, some of whom aren't even around anymore. And I'll keep adding to it.

She sewed it and embroidered the names herself, but I'm sure you could hire someone to do that. You'd just have to collect the pieces of clothing.

NO PREMADE GIFT BASKETS....I have three kids myself...and those things are so not worth it....what you can do is pamper the moms-to-be (like a spa that also does maternity massages, feet rubs...etc)....the mothers often get so overlooked... this gift would be personal, and give you the opportunity to see how she feels, and she in turn will know that you are true friend...hope this helps!

How about a personalized piggy bank? Get a pink one and a blue one and then put their names on them or something like that. Put on the bottom "To baby love (your name)" That would be something they keep for many years :-)

Get them each a personalized teddy bear with their name on it! They'll have it forever, and it might even be their favorite bear that they sleep with and eventually bring to college, and they'll always remember that you got it for them, especially if you put something like, Love, "aunt" ____

Why not get them a baby spoon with their name and date of birth engraved on it.

Oneshare.com has Disney stock in a frame, which is really cute, but expensive.
