that if your baby is 3 months old and you are watching an R rating show or movie and they are watching the screen, would that effect their minds in a bad way later on in life, since they are so young? I know it isn't good for an infant to watch tv a lot, but if there were scenes with surgery, (nip tuck) or horror movies, can this be damaging?

My son has been on a routine since about 2 months! He has consistantly slept though the night until now. (Yes I was very lucky!) He just started waking up about every half hour or 40 minutes, doesn't want me to put him down and wants to feed and feed. I am pretty sure he is getting his top teeth and is about due for a growth spurt. I have tried Tylenol and Baby Orajel. Is there anything I can do to help us both get some rest?

The pregnancy was 36 weeks before the induction. No jaundice detected in the test but bicarbonate content low.

My son has rarely slept on his own since he was born.
He's very sensitive and seems to wake up the second I put him down, day or night. Once in awhile he'll sleep, but never for even an hour. I love holding him and he's happy and fun when he's awake, but I worry about his safety when I fall asleep with him.

Whenever my baby poops a lot it gets everywhere. All around her butt in the front and even inside her vaginal area. How should i be cleaning it? I use to open it a little so the water can run through it so that way no poop gets stuck. But now i dont think its such a good idea to clean it that way. Any tips?

I'm having trouble finding soft (pre-walking) baby shoes in a large enough size for my baby. He wears a 5-1/2 extra wide shoe. I have searched the internet (i.e. Stride Rite, Robeez, BobuxUSA, amongst others) and have gone into multiple stores. So far, I have not found a baby shoe that is appropriate for him in his size. I am looking for a shoe that will protect him from the cold (snowy) weather where I live and that will be comfortable for him. Any suggestions???

My son's 9 month check-up is tomorrow, and I know he'll be getting shots. Does anyone know about how many?

Also, how much did your babies weigh at 9 months? When is it that babies are supposed to double their birth weight? Is it 6 months? When do they triple their birthweight?

Our baby is now 5 months old.
My wife had a hard time breastfeeding her after she was born, due to uncomfortness and soreness.
Since having that problem, one of our questions to the pediatrician was if not breastfeeding our baby would be risky for her immunity, to what he answered, "that is only true among poor people that live under unhealthy conditions, you won't have that problem".
The doctor is a very known and respectable professional, but that statement goes against most of what I've heard about that topic.
What do you think?

My son is 6 months old and wears a 5-1/2 extra wide shoe. As you may realise, I am having difficulty in locating a soft shoe for him to wear while in his exersaucer, sitting in his walker, and to protect him from the cold, winter weather. Does anyone know where I can find a decent pair of soft - pre-walker - baby shoes that are both warm and comfortable for him?

Alright...my daughter is almost 6 months old and my husband and I have created a monster...okay maybe not a monster, but ever since she was born we have let her sleep with us whenever she wakes up at like 4am for her midnight feedings, because it takes too long to put her back to sleep. Or sometimes she will wake up right as we are laying down so we just put her in wih us and out she goes...Well now she has gotten smart. Every time we go to put her in her bassinette when she is sleeping she wakes right up and starts crying. It breaks my heart. To all you mothers out there, how did or do you cope with breaking your babys heart for the first few times? I know I need to do something, but is there anything else you can suggest to get her sleeping by herself again? Im not looking for any rude answers, just worried about having to break my daughters heart...thanks
