I can't get him him to any doctors before Dec 4th which is a few weeks away. I'm worried he isnt getting enough to eat. He pushes his bottle away, or just plays with the nipple. I feel like i've tried everything i can think of, and i might go insane between now and the docs appointment because im so worried. He seems to be thriving well for the most part. Sleeps anywhere from 8-10 hours at night and has a few short cat naps during the day. but still, i cant stop counting ounces and the anxiety is really taking its toll on me. HELP!

My son is a little over 4 months, and he is drooling excessively, waking up frequently (though he's not fussing when he wakes) and he's had really watery stools for a day... I can't feel anything coming in, but could this be the beginning of teething? When did your kids begin to teethe? Just curious. Thanks!

This might be a dumb question, but I really have no idea?! Does the hospital or someone help you do it? Or do you have to do that yourself? If so, how do you go about getting your newborn a SSN?

As it goes through the day, the very dry skin on his face (cheeks & chin) gets really red and worse as the day goes on. I don't think it's a rash-- We've consistantly put lotion on his face and it's not helping. We think it's from wiping his face with a washcloth after eating and/or him rubbing his face on the carpet & us. Has anyone experience this? Do your kids' faces get red by the end of the day from cleaning the food off of them? Any ideas on how to clear it up?

Please, no "go to the DR" comments.

I would like to know is it ok or healthy to boil water then store it in a water bottle and use that water, to make formula milk, the water lasts me 1 day, then i make fresh water again and store it ,is this ok, or is it dangerous for my 3 month old baby, or do i have to just boil the water that same minute i make formula ????? cuz i just save time by just heating up the boiled water in the microwave and add the formula. is this ok to do this? ive been doing this since i started to feed him at 2 1/2 months of age and he's been gaining weight and is very healthy (thank god). should i continue?
please help me only serious answers please, thank you for your time.

We have a Cosco Car Seat and I just don't like it. It doesn't feel safe to me. Any other brands are welcome. I would also like a car seat the recline in the rear facing position if at all possible.

I really like the way that the Pamper's Cruisers fit my son, but I looking for a cheaper version. I have already signed up with Pamper's and my son leaks right through the LUVS diapers (which are made by Pampers).

I put him down when I see signs that he is tired, change his bum, give him his pacy. He doesn't seem to wake up nicely anymore, just starts to wail the second he's awake (I have the monitor on and don't hear any movement first, only wails) I usually walk in and he's standing on the side of his crib (is 9 months) I lay him back down (thinking he's crying cuz he can't get himself back down yet) with his pacy (that has not fallen out), but he's right back up again screaming. I figure he's still tired since he's being so cranky, but end up taking him out because of the crankiness. Any advice as to why this is happening. He used to wake up so nicely, just babbling, now it's just a big cry.

And I would prefer not to have any comments about his pacifier. Thanks.

My daughter is 6 weeks old and hasn't put on much weight recently. My wife and I decided (with advice from doctor etc) to supplement her breast feeding with one or two bottles of formula per day.
The problem is she absolutely hates the stuff. I've fed her from the exact same bottle with expressed milk and she took that a few times with no problem, but if either of us try to give her formula she screams her lungs out until she gets breast milk.
We're making it properly (SMA gold) and even tried adding a pinch of sugar to the water to sweeten it (yes we tasted breast milk and it's much sweeter).
I tasted the formula milk too and it's awful, how can i get her to take the formula milk?

An IT-geek colleague is having a baby. We are designing him a card using the OSI Model letters APSTNDP - We have a cool word (or phrase) for all but the "T" (examples, Afterbirth, Poop, Sleepless nights, No sex, etc. etc.) ... Can anyone think of a great word or phrase related to infants/newborns/pregnancy/birth that will be funny and cool for the card? Thanks in Advance!!!

He is teething right now and has a cough and terrible cold. I went to the dr. last week and they told me he had no strep or ear infection. Do you think the ear is sore due to teething ? Or has an ear infection developed since I went to the dr?? Any advice?

I am buying a house and my parents are loaning me 10,000 so i can pay them back interest free. THe back would not let me get the mortgage unless they filled out a gift letter saying it was a gift and i would not have to pay them back? Why is this? I just saw a commerical on TV the other day about helping your kids finance college and homes by loaning them money so they save on interest? Thank you if you have an answer. Why can't parents loan you 10,000 for downpayment on house?

Please read carefully before you answer. I really am just curious. I think my baby is THE most beautiful baby I have ever seen. Seriously - he is perfection. I take a step back and try to look at him objectively and he is just beautiful! People tell me all the time. I wonder if other mothers think my baby is cuter than theirs. I do completely realize that every mom thinks their baby is cute and loves it deeply no matter what, but do they realize other babies are cuter? Does anyone think their baby is just not cute (I know you love it anyway, of course!) Don't be all mad at me about this question! I wuold love my baby the same if he had all sorts of diseases and looked like a monster - seriously - he mine! But I really think he is cuter than all other babies. Does every mother feel exactly the same way I do?????

I am pregnant and plan on breastfeeding for the babies first year. My husband on the other hand, thinks that it is disgusting to feed that long and that I should stop at 6 months. How do I convince him that one year is normal? Do most guys think this way or is it just my hubby? What did your husbands/boyfriends think of breastfeeding?
Thanks!
