i had a csection and was on medication that made me really really drowsy. I remember asking about my baby because i didn't hear him cry. I then remember crying because i thought it was the most beautiful thing that i had every saw, and he was mine. When i finally got to old him its like i went into parental mode really quick. I would go get him often from the nursery. It feels so good to hold your baby for the first time. I had a lot of problems durning my pregancy and would do it all again if i had to for my son.

It wasn't one of those moments you see on TV where it was all amazing and I sat there bawling. It was definitely special, but it was really weird because it still didn't seem real. Like the whole baby thing still hadn't really hit me yet. I remember I just sat there looking at her after she was born and laying on my chest. And she wasn't crying either, she was so peaceful. But oh my gosh, the love you have for your child is so amazing and unbelieveable. It's just unimaginable how much you can love someone. She's the most important thing in the world to me.

Like the luckiest man alive, but very small somehow. It's strange, how they can look up at you and it seems as though there's this enormous wisdom in their eyes, this huge trust, it makes your mind spin without having a single coherent thought. Well, for me, anyhow. Like everything else in the world just melted away when I looked at my son (and later, my daughter) and it felt like no one else existed except just the two of us. It's amazing, there's nothing like it. It's a sense of absolute adoration and a feeling of responsibility that almost seems euphoric, as contradictory as that might seem. But the other parents here understand, I'm sure, lol.

You suddenly realize you are loving in a way yo never even realized you were capable of . It is one of two occasions where feelings defy description. The other comes later, when at the end of the aisle she lets go of your arm, kisses you on the cheek, and reaches out to take the hand of her soon to be husband.

Completely overwhelmed with emotions of joy, happiness, pride, love,worry,...so many feelings. I fell in love with each one of my children the second I laid eyes on them. I knew my life would never be the same. It's a pretty amazing feeling. I still get that feeling about them.

when I've seen my son's face for the first time i was so happy, i never thought i could love someone so much and he stopped crying when i held him in my arms. with the second i was a little scared but relieved because they said she could die since she had her umbilical cord around her neck. but i have now a beautiful 5 months old baby daughter.

I have to say Stunned. The reality of being a father slapped me in the face. Sure you see your wife get bigger and feel the baby kicking every once in awhile. But the truth for dads is out of sight out of mind. WHen my 1st son was born and I cut the cord I could not breathe and felt like I was going to pass out. I held himafeter he was born and whispered in to his ear "Welcome to Earth, I'm your dad."
