I have been washing my babies clothes with Xtra for about 3 weeks and just this past week, he started to get what looks like baby acne on his cheeks, neck and shoulders. Sometimes his skin looks red and blotchy on his neck, shoulders, face and head but it only looks like that when he's been laying down. When I pick him up and hold him and stuff, the blotches and redness go away. I didn't know if the redness and blotches were due to the detergent I've been using or not? I figured if his skin was sensitive to it, it would have started to get all irritated within the first week of me using it and not wait til now to start. Or could he have baby acne? Does that start at any old time cause he didn't have it before last week. I know that his father has rather sensitive skin and his gets red and blotchy from the most random things. If he had an itch on his arm and scratched it, it would turn bright red in less than a minute. My son doesn't seem to be upset by it but I don't know what cause it

I was just curious about the average of breast milk most women are able to pump. Everytime I try to pump I only seem to be able to get about 1- 1 1/2 oz of milk for both breasts. Can someone tell me if that is average or if I'm not pumping enough.

i had pictures done by the PICTURE PEOPLE and they were not able to post my pictures to my internet account.when i asked managment about the problem they advised me that i can go to the store to view the photos.i then politly told the manager that we paid the additional money because we lived so far away, and she told me that this was not her problem and that they would not refund the money for the portrait club($39.95) needless to say we are now out the fourty dollars for a service never received.i again contacted the store and at this time i asked why five poses were used and i was only able to view three and the manager stated to me that the person doing the photos said our child was uncooperative ,this was not at all true.if anyone else has had problems with the PICTURE PEOPLE can you please contact me with some advice.

The father of my child's family contains the following. A controlling mother, an abusive brother, a stupid sister, and a stupid sister in law who is married to the bro. They were all over for The 4th and my boyfriend's sister proudly announced that the sister in law told her she could go in the bathroom and bathe naked with the 2 year old little boy. She did so. I was grossed out that a 28 year old woman was bathing with her brother's child. I understand she wants to be a mother badly because her husband left her but bathing with someone else's baby crosses the line for me. I dont care what gender the baby or the bather are. My boyfriend says he would let her bathe with our child when its born. I DO NOT WANT HER DOING THAT. Yuck! What do you think?

I am due in less then two weeks and I am living 250 miles away from the baby's father. I live in WI and am curious as to how far he can take the baby. Any ideas about who could help me with this? I also have concerns about him takeing the baby while I am breast feeding. It is a 3 hour drive to his house from mine and I don't know if I will be able to supply enough milk for a weekend or something like that.

Yes I was wondering can anybody tell me what the effects would be if you gave beer directly to a 7 month y/o newborn who was 2 months premature?

I'm not talking about the mother drinking and then breast feeding. I'm talking about the mother putting the can of beer to the infants mouth and letting the infant drink a couple swallows of beer.

I don't know what effects beer could have on a newborn at 7 months who was 2 months premature. I'm afraid that it could cause a lot of damage. Can anybody show me what the effects could/would be and give websites that talk about this.

Only serious answer please.

A few times my daughter was lying there getting her diaper changed or lying on the couch. One minute she was smiling the next she spreads her arms wide with her fingers spread in the moro reflex,... it looked involuntary and she looked terrified. when her arms relaxed she started crying. it scared me, my boyfriend and my mother each time someone saw it. my pediatrician says this is normal for infants when they get scared,.... nothing triggers it, it just seems so scary for me too.
anyone ever experience this?

I have a 7 month old boy who has only ever slept through the night (at least 10pm til 6am) for the period of one week! He weighs 24lb and is 76cm tall so he's a big boy, and I just put it down to the fact that he is hungry? He is eating a normal balanced diet and having about a pint of Cow and Gate baby milk a day. He uses a dummy just as and when he wants soothing but not religiously.
Its not that he wakes up and is wide awake, he doesnt even open his eyes he just cries, I just give him a bottle and off to sleep he goes again, but he is waking for a feed twice a night and after 7 months I'm dead on my feet!
Any tried and tested tips? Can't just leave him to cry as I have a four and a five year old who need their sleep too!
Help :o)

Looking for free diaper samples primarily. Did a search online and found survey sites that offered $500, $1000 or a free year supply of diapers. But in order to get the free stuff you have to sign up for credit cards, car loans, Netflix, Direct TV or other stuff I don't want. Just looking for straight forward place to get samples of baby stuff.
