I am assuming that you are talking about 4,309 grams for your baby. Usually the hospitals do it in kilograms though which would be 4.309 kilograms.
The conversion for kilograms to pounds is 1 kilogram (1000 grams) is equal to 2.2 pounds.
If the baby weighed 4.309 kilograms you would multiply that by 2.2 pounds. That is 9.479 pounds. That is about 9 pounds 8 ounces. That is a bigger than average baby. Congratulations to whoever had it.
