I just stopped breastfeeding my second daughter, she is nine months old, and I am trying to figure out which formula to give her. With the first, I gave her Enfamil lipil exclusively. This time around I am wondering how good the generic versions are. Specifically the Kirkland (Costco) brand...or any others people know about. Are they just as good? What are the pros/cons beyond price. Thanks!

As I put my child on the pre-school bus every morning there is a girl whos also putting a friends child on the kindergarten bus. Shes not there mother, the mother goes to school and has 3 kids. So shes basically the live in baby sister. The children both are usually dressed pretty warm besides the infant who is 4 weeks old. I had an infant this time of year last year and I still have warm snow suits and fleece suits to go over a babys close. There never even a hat on the infant. How do I approach this mother or in this case the sitter (cuz shes usually the one out there) and offer her the warm suits I still have from my daughter without sounding like Im being a rude b*tch and have noticed they dont dress the baby warm enough. It's subsidized housing that they live in.. so Im thinking its just a money issue. And i'd like to give them the warm suits if they would be of help.

I am in canada and have a rear facing infant car seat which is for children up to a year old (or up to 22 pounds)...my daughter is 5 months old and 19 pounds...my question is once she hits 22 pounds is there another car seat I can buy for that weight to be a rear facing car seat or do I just get her a regular car seat and let her face forward?? Someone told me they had to be in a rear facing car seat at least till their one, but every rear facing I have seen says up to 22 or 25 pounds. Even convertible ones say rear facing up to 22 pounds...front facing 22 to 40 and booster 40 to 80 pounds....Anyone know anything about this??

She pooped like 3-4 times in 1 day!! It was regular poop, but I just find it hilarious that those prunes actually caused her to poop like that. LOL!!

A stray cat keeps sneaking into our house and wandering into our baby's nursey. I've heard stories of cats injuring or killing infants in an attempt to get at milk in the stomach. Maybe it's an "urban legend". But are cats dangerous? (other than obvious diseases like toxoplasmosis, rabies)

A couple nights ago I started gradually weaning my 10 ½ month old daughter. I need to replace 2-3 feedings a day with formula for when I go back to work in 5 weeks and she starts daycare. (She’s actually starting gradually with 4 full days over the next 2 weeks and then full-time after that.)

I’m hoping I can still breastfeed 2-3 times a day, (in the morning, after work and before bed) without exploding on my part or too much anxiety and confusion on hers. She still has no teeth so we’re still enjoying breastfeeding and I’m hoping I can continue until she’s a year old and can start with whole milk. (Plus who wants to pay $28 for a can of powdered formula if there’s another option???)

I thought it would be less confusing if her Dad gave her the bottles at first (because he’s given her bottles of breast milk in the past, but not for a few months.) He tried and she flat out didn't want anything to do with it. He tried again a couple hours later (at bedtime) (more to come...)

My 5 month old daughter started cereal when she was 3months, and vegetables at 4 months...haven't started any fruit yet...just wondering how much I should be feeding her...I have been feeding her till she gets fussy in her high chair but to me it seems like she is eating a lot...almost half a small jar of baby food per sitting...is that normal or too much??
