I had the same problem with my first. Then I found out what kind to look for. Look for the ones that fold down and have sort of a tight ribbing around it, those stay on the best. I think Carters make some like this and a couple of other brands too. The kind I use for my three girls is Hanes (I found them at Walmart), because they are color coded by size they are easier to match. Although I still find myself checking my newborn's feet once in a while to make sure her socks are still on, it's sort of a habit. No socks will stay on all of the time.

RE:
Does anyone know of a brand of baby socks that stay on a babies Feet?
My baby is 4 mo. and I have never bought socks before, just use what was given as gifts etc. We live where it gets pretty cold and her little feet are cold even in sleepers sometimes. Any suggestions?

I have had the best luck with Hanes. They stay on pretty good and the best thing about them is that they have the Hanes written on the toes which makes sorting much easier. I have a 2 year old girl and an 8 month old boy and their socks are almost the sames size so the word Hanes helps me remember who's are who's. The socks that I have had the worst luck with are generic ones, the elastic just goes too fast and they fall off easily. Hanes are good because the stay on, but they are not too tight and cut off circulation.

I don't know of any brands specifically, but I have noticed with my 7 month old that if there is good elastic on the sock where it would go around the ankle, then it will be a good sock that will stay on.
Good luck

As a WI mom of four young daughters, I completely understand the frustation of baby socks that don’t stay on! This is why I developed Rock-a-Thigh Baby. These are Made in the USA, thigh-length socks (like legwarmers with feet), which are designed to stay up on and — and they do!!! Just 15 hours ago in fact, a customer posted this to our Facebook page: I’m so impressed with these socks. I bought 4 pairs HOPING they would stay put on my 1 year olds feet. She constantly pulls socks off and then her poor feet freeze. This is the first pair of socks that she can’t take off!! She tried (very hard) to pull them off and gave up once she realized they weren’t moving. THANK YOU Rock-a-Thigh Baby! My little ones feet are going to stay warm and toasty this California “winter.” I’d love for you to check us out sometime! (www.RTBsocks.com)

I put both Hanes and Old Navy infant socks on my twins and when they wake up, the socks are off...I have no idea how this happens. I guess they take them off in their sleep..And the socks always come off when they are crawling..
So, I think there is not a single sock that will actually stay on their feet at this point in time...not until they wear shoes that is..

I use Hanes socks for our baby and they stay on. Also the ones from The Children's Place. Typically what I find is that socks vrs bootie type things work better....if they fold at the ankle I say they are all good:)

I had the same problem with my son, until I got the Fisher- Price socks. They are warm and stay on his feet. I got hime the size 6- 18 month ones and he is five months old. I have the newborn - six month ones, but these don't stay on his feet to well.
