My baby girl turns 1 on November 25th. Letting her smoosh a cupcake and taking lots of pictures of the party goes without saying for us!!

I started a bit of a time capsule for her when she was born with all the cards I got when she was born and at her baptism, the paper from the day she was born, the outfit she wore home from the hospital, her first soother, the hat the hospital gave her etc.

I know SHE won't be blowing out any candles at her first birthday party, so I'd like everyone (mine and my husband's family) to write down their wishes for her. Then I want to give everyone a cupcake with a candle and get them to blow out the candle and put their wish in a box. I'll put them in her time capsule so she can have them when she's older.

Happy 1st birthday to your little fella!!! Congratulations!

My daughter will be one in December right after Christmas I am letting her and my son 3 stuff a friend it is like build a bear but at home this way she can keep a stuffed animal we make forever and she will remember plus I am making her her own birthday cake shaped as a bear which she will get to stuff and make. Plus when she gets older we can buy it clothes and she can dress him all this for under $100 bucks. I have done these parties for lots of children and they are always a hit for all ages.

i could say something on the small area. in simple terms kin and a few close acquaintances(in the event that they have young ones or are close such as your son) i could do something outdoors, at domicile so he feels tender and might nap if necessasary. We did an elmo subject, he enjoyed elmo at a million. shop it basic so which you would be able to rejoice with the day. Have pizza or a huge sub and cake so which you dont must be cooking and might spend time with the visitors and your infant. Have balloons, bubbles and set up a small swiming pool or sprinkler for him and the different young ones to play. Make lists of what you want and issues to do and characteristic each little thing performed till now hand. set each little thing up via the day till now the occasion dont pass away something untill the day of the occasion. Plates, cups, liquids, nutrition, video games, chairs for the visitors, decorations. I genuinely have had super and smal events for my young ones birthdays. the smaller ones have been lots greater desirable at a youthful age. we've super events...we do a blend bc their birthdays are 3 weeks aside and that's stressful. they have alot of relaxing yet i'm a lunatic till now hand. larger isnt continually superb. in simple terms provide him a constructive occasion that he will rejoice with. whether it quite is to important he might get overwhelmed after which you to boot as him wont rejoice with the day. in simple terms have human beings that love and care approximately him around him on his and your specific occasion.

I did a Teddy Bear theme (easy to do) got lots of Teddy Bears and put them around the place, and put "party hats" on them. Had Teddy Grahams as snacks. Put Teddy Grahams on the cake, etc. Make it simple, make it easy. There will times in the future when you can through a large bash when your child is older!

good luck!

and don't forget to take lots of pictures!

My son is going to be one tomorrow. We are having a barbecue at our house. Take lots of pics. Maybe get a couple of disposable camera's and let guests take some pics too. Even though it is true that they won't remember it, pictures will always be there to reminisce. Enjoy your day!

Don't go all out because he won't even remember it. Have some cake, ice cream, presents, and a few decorations. It's a waste of money to do anything extravagent because the guest of honor doesn't even realize what's going on.

Sounds like you have the means to party why not inform guest that gifts are out and donations to local charity for babies is in. Most would not turn their nose up at the idea. Your child needs little and to plan a charity event with your son as the host, what better gift to give your child than that. Your child will as he grows develop a sense of himself and others and learn that its better to give than receive.

Best advice is take lots of pictures. If he sticks his hand in the cake and wants to squish it... LET HIM! Make it all about him. Curve the activities around his mood and just let him sparkle!

Congrats!
