It completely depends on the age of your baby, as well as how much your baby needs to sleep a day in order to function well. My 11mth old sleeps more than this, but perhaps your daughter needs less sleep. I know someone's 14mth old who sleeps at least 2 hrs more than my girl so I was thinking I was doing something wrong but some babies are big sleepers and others arent. If she isnt rubbing her eyes, or getting fussy in any way, then maybe your girl is fine with the present schedule.
I'll give you our timetable just as a guide:
Wake up at 5am, nurse, back in bed until 8 or 8:30, first nap around 11:30 which lasts between 1 and 2hrs, a typical refusal of taking an afternoon nap but I see her getting tired so she is in bed for the night at 7:30 or 8pm. Do you try to put her down for an afternoon nap and she refuses? If she's younger than my daughter, I would say she probably does need more sleep and you could try getting a second nap in or moving up her bedtime. If she's happy that really is what counts - my girl gets pretty fussy when she is tired so I can really tell. Also, when my daughter dropped her second nap about 1 mth ago I thought by moving up her bedtime I would be having to wake up earlier as a result, but it didnt change her 5am wake up at all. That is pretty much set in stone, LOL. Perhaps it would be the same with you and your girl. Well, good luck!!

Actually thats a good routine. you know some women try to let their kids go to sleep all day and then they baby is up all night but I think thats a great routine you might want to think about breastfeeding and laying down. The baby could get an ear infection from not sitting up right to feed.
And another thing you may want to think on I breastfeed my baby and then he had a case of "thrash (thrush) mouth" when I took him to the doctor the doctor told me that perfum and when your body sweats at night can cause this since a baby's mouth is very sensitive. I didn't think that lotion that I put on at night could actually be there in the morning. Being a mother you always think you are the only one that cant hurt your baby but you can actually be more harmful then you know. So about an half an hour before you breastfeed Wipe around your breast and nipple with warm water and a clean WHITE cloth.

When I wasnt working, my routine was waking up at six because thats what time daddy would get up for work and everyone in the house was up with him and when he left at around 630 the little one and I would lay back down and pop in a movie, we would sleep from a little after seven to around eight thirty or nine. We would then get up, play a little, feed him, and he would want to go back to sleep around twelve and sleep until two or a little bit after and thats when i got most of the house done. He would wake up and stay awake for quite a while. He would take a power nap sometimes at around five or six, but was always awake for daddy when he came home between six and six thirty. And then we all went to bed at the same time between nine and ten.
And this routine started when he was six weeks old and has continued til now and he will be three months on monday.

How old is the baby? Naps decrease as the child grows older. By age 2, they are down to one nap in the afternoon.

i was always told to let them nap when they want to at that age, unless of course you know that the baby is completely overdo for a nap then attempt a little harder. example, my son is almost 8 months old, he gets up anywhere between 7-9 in the morning and naps once to sometimes 3 times before he goes to bed for the night. every child is different.

It depends on the daily activities, but if you have a swell routine that works, your baby will be fine. Babies will fall asleep when they are tired no matter where they are. You could be pushing your baby in the stroller and, boom, there she goes into dreamland. Soemtimes it's you as a parent that must adapt to your baby's routine. That's when it gets challenging.
God bless you and your baby and good luck. Enjoy all those precious moments. They will fill you up with bliss.

I've never been a big fan on forcing the baby to stick with a routine you think is good. They will fall into a routine that they like and are comfortable with all on their own.

You dont say how old she is, but generally so long as she's not trying to sleep she doesnt need another nap.
If she obviously starts acting sleepy during another part of the day, try getting her to take a longer nap, or another short one.
Sounds like you're doing a great job.

as long as you don't mind go for it......she will eventually let you know when the morning nap isn't going to work anymore. but the upside to that is a good 21/2 to 3hr nap in the afternoon

Adjust to her schedule. When ever she falls to sleep let her she needs it. So far it seems like a good routine, so don't change it. Just as long as her sleep isn't bothered.
