I am curious if anyone knows what milestones should be reached at this point. My oldest is 8 years old so it has been a long time to remember. Any help?

Our baby is due in about 2 weeks and we are so behind on getting ready for him. We just bought and moved into a new house about 3-4 weeks ago. We finally went to put the crib together and there is a piece that is broken. There is a sort of L bracket thing that has notches that would fit into another piece. We tried some sort of bonding agent (can't remember the name) that is supposed to work on just about everything, but that didn't work. Daddy-to-be is suggesting trying two more things... taking off the L-bracket and putting in screws that are the same size as the notches... or taking it to a welder. We paid $100 to a co-worker of his. He won't ask for the money back cuz we don't know if it was broken before we got it or after. I am at a point where I think it's time to cut our losses and just buy a new one. I want to get this baby's room done and it's not even started. I did call the manufacturer and they don't make the crib anymore and didn't have any spare parts to sell.

my two month old baby is super dependant on my boob, especially during the night. I'm going to breast feed for a year but I'm trying to find ways so she doesn't always need the boob when she's crying

We have a new 5 week old son and my wife wants to be a stay at home mom. I agree that ONE of us needs to be at home with the baby, but my wife is in a wheelchair and I feel she is unable to take care of a real child.

I have a 3 week old baby that has gas and reflux I believe. Most problems are when I lay her on her back. She doesn't sleep all that much...especially at night. We have just recently started propping her up. This helps. We also give her gas drops. Well I bought "Enfamil Gentlease" and wanted to see if it helps. I only tried it once and she fussed like she didn't like the taste. Should I give up or mix it with Enfamil Lipil (what I am already using) or keep trying with it? Any advice???

my nephew is 5 and a half months old, is he to young to talk? My sister swears the other day she heard him say 'up', but my other sister (who is childless) thinks he is just mimiking, because we went to a BBQ the day before and everyone was saying 'do you want up?' to all the little kids that were there.

My husband and I were talking about names for our future children the other day and I think Joey would be a cute name for a girl, he thinks its dumb, what do you think? Tell me the honest truth, I dont care if you're brutally honest. I was also thinking it could be spelled, Joie.

I give him 3oz at 9pm then 12pm BUT during the night he will wake only two times 2-5am and eat only 1oz each time and then he does not want any more till almost 10-11 am in the morning and only 2oz. After 12am he starts to eat 4oz every 3 hours. IS IT OK THAT HE DOESNT EAT AT NIGHT AND EARLY MORNING AS MUCH AS DURING THE DAY??? i thought bigger babys needed more milk than that?? i have an a app. with the dr in a week.

I'm confused, some things I've read say a runny nose is not a sign of teething and other's say it is. My son who has no teeth *yet* has a clear runny nose and was wondering if a cool mister (humidifier) would help him. Has no other cold like symptoms, so if it's a sign of teething should I bother ?

My daughter just recently turned 8 months old, and i was just wondering what is the best age to start introducing a single child to other children. when we are around other children similar to her age, she reaches and grabs at their faces/hair/heads and tries to "mouth" them. I look at it like a curious thing, but other moms are not to fond of this action. Are there any ways to help adjust my single baby to other? Or is this just a phase? Your comments will help! Thanks

PLEASE DO NOT LECTURE ME ABOUT HOW GOOD IT IS!!!!! I totally know that - I have a Master's Degree in Nutrition, so don't go there! I have been exclusively breastfeeding for 6 months, and I don't see any reason to stop until a year, unless some circumstances arise to make me feel differently. My question is.... Is there anyone that thinks they SHOULDN'T have breastfed for a full year???

Me and my fiancee are having difficulties. She is vegetarian and I am not. She wants our baby to grow up vegetarian and I am the one that will let them eat whatever they want, but just limiting what they intake to a healthy degree. I just don't know what to do. I cannot deny my kids something that I would sit down and eat also. I just couldn't. That would be hypocritical of me. And It would make me feel like pure crap. But my fiancee wants them to grow up vegetarian. We are both vere passionate on our decisions. We are having trouble reaching a compromise also. She wants them to be vegetarian until 11 or 12 and let them decide if they want to continue that path. I want them to just eat what they like and what, but still monitoring what they intake to a healty diet, and let them decide when they get 11 or 12 years old. Please give me your opinion on this ! ! !

I noticed something weird the last few days after refrigerating my milk. When I pumped the milk it looked fine but after a few hours it looked as if particles were inside. It reminded me of spoiled cow milk. Is this normal?

They send me these things all the time on cord blood banking, and it's like $20,000 to do it! I could buy a car or even a house for that! Is it really worth it? And does anyone actually do it? Have you or have you heard of anyone who has? If yes, why?
