He needs to go to an actual pediatrician or a Children's Hospital ER or Urgent Care. The ones around here give way better service then regular hospitals do. When you go, don't let them just give you the OTC med and send you on your way, stand up and demand more. No cold should last this long.

Yes, and keep at them until you get some action. Even a healthy adult should be concerned if a cold doesn't clear up in a few weeks, and babies are so delicate. Don't let yourself be fobbed off just because people are overworked - they might be tired and busy but your little boy is sick and suffering.

If you are in the US and on medicaid contact me through my profile. He needs to get away from the clinic he's going to and see a private doctor. Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond our control, my baby was on medicaid and not getting good medical treatment. Thankfully someone told us how to get him in to a private doctor! It's like medicaid, but a better plan.

Try a humidifier. Or maybe he is allergic to something. Ask the doctor to do a couple of tests.

Is there a children's hospital in your area? Maybe they might be better at figuring what is wrong with your son since they specialize in children's care?

My son had a long cough like that. When they finally found a diagnosis, it was asthma. Have them test him for that. I will be praying for you.

You definately should demand they look into it more.
Go to the ER again. No cough should last that long.
