She's being really mean, degrades her sister, is jealous and even put her money in her sister drawer to make believe the ynunger had stolen it. The truth came out and she apologized and show regret. How to handle this w/ justice, showing thd younger we are fair, but also w/ love, without destroying the 13 yo? We must have some fault in this sad episode.

I am a single mum with a 11 year old son who has started to develop some strange little habits. I don't know (or want) to make a big deal out of this only advice & suggestions would be very much appriciated!
James has suddenly lost all sense of modesty since entering secondary school, and will strip off and walk around in his pants when he gets home to lounge around. He has also taken to peeing outside on virtually everything! - He's driving me nuts! he will also make all sorts of noises (from his bottom) in mine & his sisters company & constantly lies on the sofa with both hands down his pants.
Can anyone explain why he is doing this please?
Thank you for all your help & suggestions
Sam

I just read an article about "the choking game" and it shocked me. I graduated from high school in 1998, and I never remembered kids talking about this. I knew kids who did drugs to get high, but nobody ever mentioned this. I have a younger sister who is 15, and I am now worried about how prevalent this is. She's never shown an interest in drugs, but I've now heard that some kids do this as an alternative "high" to drugs and alcohol. Does anyone have any information?

I would like responces back Only if you are being serious. I hate to ask anything anymore because there are so many smart *** remarks? I have a teen daughter and I have been trying to talk to her about having a period. She didn't ever want to talk. She would always tell me that is gross do we have to talk about it. This week she just started hers. She didn't even tell me until 3 hrs. after. I ask her if she wanted me to explain anything, she said no. I soon found out she didn't know all she thought she did. But, she still didn't want to talk about it. I can I talk to her about it and how to keep yourself clean and all that if she doesn't want to? And what should I say?

My friend and I were talking yesterday and she says how shes ready to have sex. Shes on birth control and plans to use a condom. She wants to kno if she is really protected from gettin pregnant. I didn't know what to tell her? I've heard that condoms break but generally how if they are so tested? So if it breaks is the birth control(pill) really the back-up method!

Supose you are the dad. The 16 year old son comes to you with the report card and tells you he modified some grades and feels really guilty now so he wanted to confess. The report card as it was in original was bad. Would you punish the kid only for the bad report and how? Would you punish the kid for the bad report and for changing the grades with the intention to lie to you and how? Would you give some credit for confesing the truth , if yes in what way?
(Im the kid tourmented by guilt feelings and wanting to confess )

you will ever meet. BUT she has such a fowl mouth. She is married to an African-American Marine who has done 3 tours in Iraq and she can make him blush. She is expectibg her first child in february and I'm afraid that if she doesn't clean up her language the baby will pick it up. I mean the f-word is her favorite. How do I get her to stop? Or should I consider my self lucky that that is her only shortcoming?

Our 17 year old daughter is out of control. She comes and goes when she wants and talks back to us by saying we are stupid and to shut up. She of course does not help around the house bucause she doesn't fell like it and has dropped out of school because she hates it and it sucks, as she puts it. She had filed charges against her boyfriends but ended up hitting her a few days later so we had to drop the charges & now she is still sleeping with him.

My mom would never even think of saying this to me or one of my siblings, but my dad says this to me, my 8 year old brother, and my 5 year old sister all the time. It seems like everything I say he tells me to "Shut Up", and I think that parents shoudn't do this. By the way, I am a 13 year old boy in 8th grade. What should I do, and do you think parents should say this to their kids??? Thanks!

My husband (Sams dad) died when Sam was 3 (he's just turned 11). My mum has him when i'm in work (after school) therefore he has no male influences. Sam is a good boy in genral who loves playing football & is very particular in his appearence.
However he has been behaving strange recently,
He has become very shy about his body, If he watches tv with me in just his boxers (after a shower) he will put a pillow over his lap, he also insists on loading the machine with his washing (not that i mind this). & yesterday I caught him weeing on a tree in the garden (which is quite large & seculded).
Has anybody experienced this or have any advice for me?
I thought that he may be starting puberty early, but my mum says that he is too young & little looking.
Whats with the modesty then weeing in outside?
Should I be worried?
