I know what you're going thru I'm 21 and I still have these problems...sometimes it's not always good to take it to the next level...if he's a good friend, you might mess up the friendship by starting a "relationship". You are pretty young, just make sure you are being a "good girl" don't let him pressure you into anything. Most guys are only after one thing, even young guys. But as far as the way to keep from being shy...really just remind yourself how beautiful you are and stay confident. Being boy-shy is part of being 12 though. Oh by the way, he's probably diggin you too, and he probably has a feeling u like him. So it's just a matter of who is brave enough to speak up!

Fine i won't say that you are too young to date but still doesn't maek you old enough to use Yahoo Answers. You have to be at least 13 to use YA.
As for the asking him out thing, getting a freind to do it for you. Or maybe e-mail of IM him...
And btw I don't suggest going out with friends cause eventually you will break up and your friendsship will fall apart too...

you should totally have a group date! just dont tell your mom that it is a date, and dont tell the guy either, just play it cool. give him a note or tell him yourself that you want to go to the movies or other thing with some friends and your one of them. it works for me! and ive been doing it since 6th grade. im now in 9th. ive got a lot of boyfriends that way and i too am REALLY shy.so if the guy is interested in you he will definietly go. and where ever yall go, watch the way he interacts. then see where it goes from there!

No one's ever too young to experience a first love hun. I say, don't tell him you like him and don't ask him out just yet. That can totally freak him out, especially if all he wants to do is be friends. Get to know him a little bit more, and maybe you'll find you like him as a friend and nothing more. =]]

I was so Boy shy. I was like, about to die if someone told him I liked him. But im not like that anymore, cuz you know what, If i like him, WHY SHOULD I LIE? i dont care. You should ask him out, in a note or w/e, if your shy to do it face to face. and if he says no, move on, he's not worth it.

i don't think that it would be wise to date your friend if you two are so close. you should cherish your relationship and if he wants to be more than friends wait for him to bring it up.
