Nothing over the face of this planet is evil, that is only a myth, you do whatever you think is better for you, masturbation is necessary sometimes because we have to get some relief from accumulation of hormones, so it's very perfect and valid and don't believe in evil that simply doesn't exist..☺

I do not find it evil. It does, however, become an addiction when paired with porn. I believe masturbation is a healthy, normal function of the human body. If you don't do it, your body is going to do it for you after all. My fiance had a problem with Internet porn and was using it a little too frequently to masturbate with. This is a problem. It's not the masturbation that becomes addictive, but the porn with which you masturbate.
The Christian Church actually decided in the 15th century that masturbation and any kind of sex accept for procreation, was a sin. If you watch "The History of Sex" on the History Channel it goes into this further. It's actually a very informative series on different aspects of sex throughout the ages and different cultures. It's not graphic at all and would not be inappropriate to watch. It was actually on last night that's why the information is fresh in my head.

I do not. There are some people that consider it to be a sin however. That's different from considering it evil, but probably what you mean.
The thought that it is a sin is based on two things. First of all, what I beleive to be a mis-interpretation from the Bible. In Gen. 38:9, it mentions Onan "spilling his seed on the ground." His brother had died without sons. According to custom, he took his brother's wife and was to father children, which would be considered his brother's. He did not wish this, so, he spilt his seed on the ground. I don't think this refers to masturbation, but rather, to early withdrawal. The next verse says that, what he did was displeasing to God, so God killed him in punishment. So, if you think he was masturbating, then perhaps masturbation is wrong. Personally, I think the big problem was the guy's attitude and unwillingness to honor his brother as he was suppose to.
The second source for thinking it a sin. Typically, when masturbating, the mind is focused on a sexual fantasy. That probably crosses the line of lust. So, the sin is a sin of lust, but it is happening while masturbating.
Probably more than you wanted, but that's where it comes from.

If you do, I truly feel sorry for you! Masturbation for both males and females of all ages is completely normal and completly healthy! No side effects, to the contrary there are great short and long term physical and mental health benefits. Hey I've been jacking off for over 50 years (really) and I ain't blind or crazy yet (no comments on that last part...please!) Masturbation is one of the joys in life...so enjoy it!!!

Depends...if your religious any form of sexual contact either by urself or by sumone else is considered sinful...but then again its the best way to pleasure yourself with out the dreadful outcomes..so i guess in my opinion no i dont think its evil because in the end it prevents a lot more problems...then actually having any type of sex in the first place...
