Pregnancy & Parenting - 11 December 2007

My grandma advised me a few months ago NOT to have them induce me...I never thought to ask why at the time, but now I am wondering if there are any risks just out of curiosity...

I have told my little girl Santa is pretend - just in the same way Dora the explorer, Winnie the Pooh etc are also pretend.

My reason for doing this is that I want her to always know that I am truthful with her. Inevitably she will find out it is all just a charade and perhaps a part of her will lose trust in me for carrying on that lie. I dont be a spoil sport and I play along etc but I let her know it is just a game.

I am Christian and do not then want her to see Jesus and Santa as both something they believed in but which turned out to be make believe. (yes, atheists insert your snide comment here)

Why do some people make such a big deal of it, as if I am a cruel and mean parent?

On 11dpo I had 40 HCG and 14dpo HCG was 226.

So its doubling every 28 hrs.

Does this look like it could be twins?

in math one day we were sitting there taking a test.
and the teacher brought up my homework, which i know i didnt do right, but anyways...she started yelling at me and telling me how stupid, pitifull, and pathetic i was.
before me she said this to to other people.
we are in an advanced algerbra class, and she tried to tell the three of us that we cant do basic math.
we obviously can do basic math because we are in algerbra.
so my question is...
Was it right for her to do that?

This will be my first pregnancy ...heres my story I had sex with the hubbie for 2 weeks during the month of July every day trying to get preg. I had my period in August and September ...no period in October-December ...December 5th when I was sleeping I woke up and notice a fist size spot of blood on my panties and I thought I got my period ...turns out it was not ...I put in a tampon for the next two days and only the tip of the tampon will only have a splat of blood and there was no more blood after words ...I been experiencing cramping in my lower adominal similar to cramping I get when my period is coming , fatigue , tiredness , moody , increased appetite , sometimes sore\tender breast ...gained a lil bit of weight not much though but I do have a lil gut now ...what do you say ?

Cycle Day 24.
9 Days Past Ovulation.
I have creamy Cervical Fluid. With white creamy Discharge.(No Yeast Infection)
When I checked my Cervix it was Closed and High and soft.
I am having cramping today not to much. And My HPT today was A BFN. To early to test?

So, I went in this morning for my 3 hr glucose test. The nurse said not to eat or drink anything last night. I did not. But I did have a glass of water this morning. When I told the nurse this, she said they wouldn't be able to test me and I would have to come back tomorrow.
Everyone I spoke with regarding drinking water said they were allowed. The nurse said even a small amount of water would raise my glucose levels too much. Is this true? Is a small amount of water enough to greatly affect my test results? I just don't know if I believe that.

My chart show that I ovulated on cycle day 11. Then taking my temp at the same time as usual I a really high temp today. Im not sick and didn't do anything before taking it. any thoughts?

My doctor said some of my "counts" were low and others high and he's sending me to a doctor that's 3 hours away and I'm sooo worried.

He can't really explain what the test results mean in a way I understand.... something about blood protien: high, Hc- low.... other medical jargon?

My husband and I have had trouble getting prego and staying pregnant, I've had 4 miscarriages and we've been trying now for 8 months and nothing so he was going to put me on clomid this week for the first time, then when I got pregnant do daily hormone injections and take baby asprin to prevent miscariage....

so he did some blood work before writing the prescription, normal tests and a test for lupus that I wasn't really expecting. Now he said he's sending me to a doctor called a perinatologist (sp?) that's 3 hours away and I feel like that must be a really bad sign?

Does anyone know what I should expect there or what might be going on? Or... has anyone gone through this?

So Technically I can't test until the 22nd and I know thats along time away so I have NO intentions of testing before then but its one of those things that just makes you wonder!!! the first day of my last period was on NOV 28, and ovulation starts on the fourteenth day, which would be dec 11 or 12.
we did it on the 9th. what are the chances of pregnancy, and he didn't c*m a lot.

I am 21 weeks pregnant and I thought I felt actual kicks for the first time last night because they were pretty strong compared to the random flutters I have been feeling, where do first kicks usually start in the lower abdomin or upper belly? Also once the baby starts kicking is that still random like some times kicks and sometimes not or is it usully more constant??
