If it's a piece of thin steak on a roll, then no I don't find the word Preggo gross... seriously, it reminds me of food!!

Personally, I didn't like it when ppl called me preggo, preggies, preggers or any other word apart from pregnant. But then, I WAS hormonal and slightly imbalanced.

If someone else wants to call themselves that, it's okay I suppose - each to her own.

Gross is not the word for it. Immature better describes it. A lot of guys at work call me this. It's just their way of trying to be funny.

I don't think it it gross, but it does sound kind of negative towards those woman that are carrying a child into this world. It is just slang in this culture and most people see it as acceptable.

YES!!! as with Preggars, up the duff, and other slang ways to make pregnancy seem cheap and gross...Im an aussie ans im sure we have quite a few derogatory terms for being preggars, in the famous aussie slang.
also, I hate the "shes gonna drop anyday" or "when are ya gonna drop it" ....hey, some people simply have no class or an understanding of good taste :)

idk that i would call it gross but like alot of people it makes me think of pasta sauce....and at this stage in my pregnancy it makes me hungry! i don't have a problem if someone wants to use that word on themself but don't call me prego, preggie, preggers or any of that stuff. i'm pregnant, with child, in a "family way", or whatever. it's a beautiful time in a woman's life (despite the gross stuff going on with her) and it should have a more pleasant name than prego even if it is italian for "good"

If a happy mom announces "I'm preggo!" it doesn't bother me. It is kinda cute that way.

When an immature 16 year old says "my boyfriend and I were messing around but we were using a condom and he came outside me and I was on my period and I think I might be preggo!" I get annoyed.

I don't like it, but my husband thinks it is hilarious. He said he remembers the old Prego pasta sauce commercial that says, "Prego...it's in there", and he keeps saying that to me and says he's going to have a shirt made up that says it. I can't stand it though.

Makes me think of spaghetti sauce, which makes me feel ill. (Hellllp, I'm stuck in the first trimester and I can't get out! XP)
