my daughter is almost 3 years old. i love her to death and she's an angel to me, but she will not stop screaming. she is constantly screaming, whining, and shrieking. anything can cause her to scream. i can be reading her a book, and if she tries to turn the page and the pages stick together, she'll scream. she can by lying on the floor, and if one of the cats walks near her, she'll scream. i can be playing games with her, and she screams the entire time. she'll try to put on her shoes and start screaming. she got a new toy called "lucky ducks" and every time one of the ducks fell over, she'd scream. every time she screams, i calmly say "no screaming", it never works. I've tried putting her in time-outs, it never works. she just constantly screams. has anybody ever experienced this? my nerves are shot here. please help me out, i dont know what to do, or what really works. thanks in advance.

I know they say never to start this but I did it when he was younger and now hes used to it and now that hes about to be off formula I need suggestions on how to get him to go to sleep with out a bottle. He doesnt take a pacifer and I really am not willing to start(my 2 yr old is way to attached to hers ). I dont rock him to sleep or anything like that. He shares his room with his 5 yr old & 2 yr old sister and I have tried just letting him go to bed without a bottle. He screams so much he makes them cry because hes being so loud.
HELP!

It is really painful when I go cos I can only get it out by straining really hard but even that doesn't always work and I'm just left feeling uncomfortable because I cant get it out. I also bleed when I go is this normal ? I had to be cut and have 3 stitches during labour which also doesn't help. Please I'd appreciate any advice

I had my baby girl last week and she is driving me crazy!! Im still trying and getting use to her, since this is my first baby. For some reason she will sleep all day, but at night she is up and cries quite a bit, what is wrong with her? Am I doing something wrong? I have not gotten sleep at all, what can I do to make her happy and have her sleep longer? I wish I could at least sleep a full hour or two hours at night, but its impossible!! Any tips?

My little guy knows how to use the potty. I've shown him, and he understands well. He is very intelligent, but also incredibly stubborn. When I tell him he needs to get out of pull-ups, he gives me this list of reasons why he can't do it until 'tomorrow'. I've tried offering him treats to go, and he literally looked at me and said "it's not worth it." I also really want a dog, but so does he, so I told him we would get one as soon as he gets trained. So now he's brushing that off as well. We are at a stand off.

I can't force the child to go, but i've had it with changing diapers. Plus, he needs to be ready for school next year, and i'm all panicked that he still won't be trained.

Any ideas? Has anyone else had a boy who's nearly 5 that's not trained? I'm so afraid this will go on forever!

btw, I discussed this with a dr, he was the one who gave me the treats idea. Other than that he said just to wait until my son 'comes around'. I'd rather not. Please help!

Do you think/feel that the child of an unmarried couple should have the mother's or the father's last name
(Assuming he was there for the mother and the child throughout the pregnancy and during labor and delivery and was financially and emotionally attatched and supportive)...

If they have broken up at time of birth?

If they are together at time of birth?

Money is running a bit low right now, and we have to move out of our house...we've been living there for 5 years, and my 4 yr old has never lived anywhere else. Will she be excited to be moving into an apartment, or will she be sad to leave her home? In short, what should I expect?

Thanks ahead of time for your answers.

I obviously didn't know I was pregnant then and have completely cut out any harmful substances going into my body!!!
Before I found out though I have also smoked weed and cigarettes and one of the nights I went out I had cocaine.

What are the chances of my baby being perfectly healthy? I'm really worried.

Its my sons birthday today, and he has a party tonight at 6. I was originally supposed to work today, but they told me this morning i could go home since its his bday. So were trying to have a special day today...we went to the park, went to the nature center, and stopped by the library. Now he's eating lunch and we need something to do after lunch. We just bought a house, so money is tight, so id prefer it was something free or close to it. Any ideas?

I recently started taking prenatal vitamins, and they seem to provide all the vitamins I need. However, I also eat Total, which adds another 100% of most of the same vitamins. Is it safe to be doubling up on the vitamins or should I start buying a different cereal?
Thanks in advance for any helpful info!

I'm recently diagnosed with this syndrome, and would just like to hear others personal experiences with it. I'm tired of reading about it on websites, I want to know how it affects you, how you overcame it, or how your trying to....Have you had children with it? I've been ttc for almost two years now, but my doc believes that I haven't gone undiagnosed with this syndrome for long since the follices are all about the same size. They said they're going to put me on birth control for 3 mon to hopefully get rid of the follices and also on metformin. Thanks for any answers.

My conservative in-laws think kids need to "cry it out." And, I'm not talking about the "Ferber" method. They think a child should cry, and cry even if he/she cries for 2 hours straight.

I'm more inclined to NOT have the children cry. I'm of the belief that it's not good for kids to cry themselves to sleep.

What are you opinions on this subject?

Also, cause I'm trying to find a correlation, what are your political leanings?

My daughter is near the age when teeth start to fall out. When I was younger and my teeth fell out I used to put it under my pillow and the tooth fairy (my parents) would leave me money and take the tooth. Im trying to decide if I should do this with my own daughter.
Any views???

I, for one, am uncomfortable with this, although I have never seen a man. I have only seen women gyno's. I just feel uncomfortable putting myself in that "position" in front of a man who is not my husband. Do you?
